The vast majority of the black cab taxi boys in Manchester are superb in times like this, and the charity fundraising they do is fabulous.

You see it round here too Andy, local council's have dialled back helping the homeless so the taxi drivers have stepped in paying for coffees in the morning for those that have slept rough. Only costs them maybe £5 / £10 between them but it's just general decency.

Didn't see it last night, just checked my phone this morning and feel sick to the stomach, genuinely.

I know when things like this happen the initial reaction is always one of fear, angst and worry of what can happen to your loved ones. But then the decent person inside of you remembers that it is a minority that will carry out these kind of horrific acts and that the world is not crammed full of lunatics.

Can I just say as a born and bred Mancunian, well Salford actually but let's not split hairs, a massive thank you on behalf of the eastern end of the East Lancs Road for the heartfelt sympathy, condolences and best wishes from all those on Merseyside and around the world Blues towards the victims of this terrible act.

The arena hosts so many events and attracts people from all over the north of England due to it's capacity and transport infrastructure, this tragedy will have affected folk from well beyond Manchester.

Cheers guys and gals.

Do one lad and take your agenda with you - This is neither the time or the place to start this type of debate. I'll gladly chat with you on this subject but not here and not now.

"Do one lad"? Lol aright I'll look forward to it

Don't mean any offense btw and I have no agenda I just have my opinions and they have changed completely over the last couple of years but yeah maybe not the time and the place.

Just awful to wake up and see this news. I've two young kids myself who in a few years will be looking to go to events like last night's concert.

Just doesn't bare thinking about.

Heartening to see the city if Manchester come together as it has done in the last 12 hours.

Hard to comprehend what compels someone to kill indiscriminately in such a fashion.

NEA about the politics of it all.

I watched the news till 1.30 this morning in blissful ignorance that one of my sons was there !. He'd texted my wife earlier to say he was ok but she was asleep. My thoughts this morning with the victims families.

My two little nieces were at a Little Mix concert two days ago. They also love Ariana Grande. Just shows how close to home something like this can hit at any moment by a crazed madman. No government is strong enough to put an end to this terrorism though, so it will just continue to happen again and again. RIP innocent victims.
