its weird on the discouragin from hittin it long. when we stick lukaku out on the wing, the diagonals are all we ever seem to hit . dont know why we cant just do the same only him in the middle.
Because he gets out muscled by CBs who tend to be stronger than FBs.

It's my biggest complaint with him. He doesn't bully defenders and you would think he would have the strength to do so but he's only 21, you get a lot more natural strength as you age.

We didn't have the players to do it today though mate. Hard with a sluggish rom, and Barkley and Kev injured and an unfit Pienaar. It'll come. Bobby has two weeks to sort it now. Stones injury is the main downside from today. It's absolutely devastating. Just hope he's back soon
Stones injury is a big problem for us. Hopefully the two weeks will give us time to come up with a system to cope. Hopefully Barkley will be back. I've no problem with mixing it up and using a ball over the top on occasion but we need to get the passing game sorted so that we can build on that. I agree with most people on the site, some of the players are not good enough to knock it around without making a mistake and some are not suited to this type of game but I would rather persist with trying to play football property than consolidate a mid-table position continuously hoofing long balls over the top for a Big CF. Not the Everton way.

Yeah and no. My issue with playing browning is that one mistake can seriously affect his confidence, I'm all for giving the kids a go but not when the rest of the team are playing like dog turd and totally down in the dumps.

but maybe his enthusiasm will give the others a boost.

like to see a change on formation though, see if it helps
I would give Distin one game but that's it. If it was more of the same then I would play Browning.

Jags and Stones looked solid again though mate. Not many times they tested howard (only the free kick in the 1st half really). They didn't get behind us at all. Their first was a good finish from a world class player, their second was because Howard cocked up. Yeh they had a few half chances from crosses but nothing special. We, well Howard, gifted them the win.

But now Stones is out and Distin comes back in, and the whole defence seems to just panic when he's on the ball. Stones calms everybody down, need him back as soon as we can.
Stones played Falcao onside. Jags should of screamed to get him in line. They won a ridiculous amount in the air today, them, if on form would of sunk us.

youre right those 3 points proved it
Obviously we still lost. But when did we force those big saves from De Gea? After Osman came on. He should've scored himself if not for the obvious pea roller shot that he always fires.

If De gea didn't make 3 world class saves in the last few minutes it would've ended 2-2 and many would still complain about a whole bunch of things.

Same mate. We just can't seem to keep players fit though - usually through freak injuries like today. If there was one player who I didn't want to get injured today it was him. He's been outstanding. For all the hype over Sterling (admittedly, brilliant), even Barkley (again brilliant), Stones for me is the best young English player. Considering his age and position, he'll be an almost unbeatable defender in 3 years time if he carries this on. He'd get into every team in the league bar Chelsea and City.

The one overhanging negative however I feel is Howard, he's just racking up mistakes week after week. Shocking from him for their second today, didn't leave the defence any time to settle themselves and again was reluctant to come for crosses..
He has gone through these spells in the past and come back into form so fingers crossed that he does this time as well.

A truly boss and consistent keeper is difficult to find (and afford) so we may be with Howard for a little while yet.

just watched the interview with our manager after the game. So here it is lads, we are improving in every match, their second goal was the ref's fault and their keeper kept them in it. Embarrassing !

It was howard who cretaed that situation though mate, i've stuck up for him this season but not this time. He's done us in today.

Well he's right about De Gea. And we were better today than against Palace or Liverpool (admittedly not hard). I slated him about what he said on their goal though. I can see why he's protecting howard but in private i think he (howard) needs a rollocking

Jesus christ, by improving every match we should be able to keep a clean sheet come April. Every man and his dog who watched that will be laughing their tits off at that comment. Him and Rodgers sound like a pair of weapons after they get beat
