I suppose its like taking Ivanovic, Fabragas, Matic and Hazard out of the Chelsea side

Yep, we're going to really struggle now if we don't get at least 2 of our players back, don't forget Stones out now so that also Terry out of the team. Chelsea have a better replacement as well, where ours are struggling.

We're 4th from bottom and we spent 28 mill on a player with the first touch of a hippo
Injuries sminjuries Everton is a business and our earning capacity is diminishing the lower down the table we are
Also our capability to bring in top quality players will be severely affected
Much as we'd like it to not be, a problem it is and no investor would look twice at us ATM

I pay my hard earned money over to Everton in many different ways and I am entitled to my opinions but clearly some people think that opinions are only to be positive
It's a sad reflection on the forum if a dissonant opinion can be silenced

last year has no bearing on his form at this current time. A season is along time in football, and lukaku has gone to being one of the most feared strikers in the prem to a complete laughing stock in my eyes
He's still a beast though. He's just not being given chances as I wrote in a previous post.

Funny how every striker we get bangs them in, then goes wildly off the boil for such long periods of time when we aren't feeding them.

It's not like Lukaku missed 3 sitters is it? He wasn't given any chances 'on a plate', he's practically trying to work the chances himself which isn't working. Just need Barkley back, his running and game is on par with Lukakus and they clearly make each other tick a bit more.

Playing him on the left hasn't helped him and neither has the fact he very rarely gets through balls from the midfield, We use him as a link up player which is daft, Get him in and around the box and leave him there

I am very worried about how we are being set up for games. RM has obviously learnt something from anfield last year. Trying to go gung ho away from home against good players gets you burned but to sit off at halfway and not press an inexperienced back 4 like they had played straight into their hands. Second half we pressed with naisey through the middle. and looked better. What was he thinking

My breakdown of the season.

Leicester 2-2, should have won that thought Everton were ok.

Arsenal 2-2, played well for 80mins.

Chelsea 3-6, this game turned the season. I think we overreacted. Chelsea are going to win the league this season and we weren't very good that day. Questions were asked of the defense which didn't need to be asked.

West brom 2-0 deserved a win.

Crystal palace 3-2, game absolutely stolen.

Liverpool 1-1 first game where Everton didn't really play well, change of tactics to a 4-3-3 maybe an overreaction to shore up te defense. Didn't do enough to deserve a draw in my opinion.

Man U 2-1 deserved a draw, Everton were terrible for much of the game but a missed penalty and two out of this world saves. I don't like the way we played tho, too much long ball stuff.

We probably should have 12 points not 6. The injuries haven't helped. We have already played four of the six genuine top 4 challengers, and we can beat Tottenham. Worry when we are still bottom 3 halfway thru the season.[/QUOTE

Start to worry that late mate and we'll be f.......d

We have been leaking goals, Our best 4 players are out, He's trying to shore things up

I love your positivity Abraders and I am desperate for rom to succeed. I think I would be Happier if he ran himself into the ground for the cause and not play well than to coast like he's doing at the minute.

We need pace not a stroller like Gibson he was so poor in midweek too!
What defensive midfielder has pace?

What you need is someone who can set the tempo and read the game. Frankly I have high hopes Besic will become this player with the engine of McCarthy.

As for Gibson, I understand you're concerns but no choice is perfect however on balance it makes more sense than paying City the transfer cost and a 3 year contract.

That said, you can keep posting tosh and give points. Nobody stuffed a rag in your mouth or broke your fingers.
A dissonant opinion, this. Speech is free for all, and that's why the rep switch is there. Feel free to take 10 from me if you like.

It's a tough life. Things often do not work, and some managers are very smooth with the press, which invites a lot of suspicion from some quarters. I'm still in the pro-Martinez camp. We'll see how it goes. It's just October, ffs.

I'm going to go and lick my wounds now. This is not fun.

Has he ever done that?
