Heart ruling the head but I don't see how Man City are "all that". Teams have shown in the Champions League that they are relatively weak & Mancini has assembled a great squad but not always a great team. I'm not denying that they have great players but they're definitely weaker than the sum of their parts.

My head says that we'll struggle. They have a physically strong team & we don't play well against that type (when did we last beat Stoke, for instance) and the odd player who can create a goal from nothing.

If we're missing Baines that will limit our attacking & I'm not sure how many chances we can create, especially with Mirallas still missing.

Heart hoping for an against the odds victory, head says more or less a repeat of last season's game.

Who are the 2 City players hugging??? Grrr, can't name them

Facing the camera is Paul Lake mate.

Nice work. I see you've crossed back over the international date line.

waves from Alaska*

Any spares?

Help a brother out, this man needs a spare.

For those interested in that type of thing.

Here is the preview Snoop Dawg style yo.

Still laughing here. Makes it readable almost.

Great read as always Chico!

Now i'm gonna be a bit of a weapon and unashamedly advertise myself on this thread! Anyway, if you want another preview to read, check out the 'City vs. Everton Preview' thread.

I might have to start putting them out on Thursdays to avoid the clash! ;-)

Not bad yourself mate. It looks better on your site with the photos. I'm self conscious about writing too many words as usually the quality is less and I don't think people will be arsed reading it all. Hence where the photos come in handy. Use search tools on google and set a minimum size so the photos match the paragraph width if that's possible.

Good stuff like, I like reading (stealing stuff from) other lid's previews.

I was having them thoughts too mate, that we can have these. But it's going to be tough isn't it? If they are in good form on the day and were in good form on the day then they're probably win.

Then our crazy-ass asses done cooked up em fume again up in tha last time our crazy-ass asses played em wit a blasted from Gibson dat tha Iron Dome on tha Westside Bank would not be able ta intercept.

Is right. More of the same Everton FFS.

The two City players in the pic are Paul Lake and Ian Bishop.

pics above that include Denis Law, Denis Tueart ( scoring an overhead kick at Wembley in the League Cup final (1976 I think), and then there's Roger Palmer.

It'll be a really interesting one from Brennan91's point of view as it'll be perhaps the first occasion this season where we won't be in control for large periods of the game. It'll be a bit more of a return to the defensive style of previous seasons, so let's hope Baines and Mirallas are both fit and we can pose a threat on the counter.
