ssssshhhh......this inconvenient truth does not sit well with many of our friends on here.
The service may not have been as much and as good as last year. But that doesn't hinder him trapping the ball and attempting to head the ball, like he didn't do for the start of Villa's 3rd on Saturday. He will score goals that is for sure and he will also be too greedy at times and not pass to a player in a better position that is for sure. Lukaku needs to develop his skills and think about his game and how it an help the team. On Saturday, Benteke was excellent and gave a very good example of centre forward play.

But if there was actual movement inside the box, we'd have something to at least aim for. The lack of movement from him is the one thing that annoys me with him. I can over look the mis timed headers and his lack of control with the ball but i simply cannot get over the fact he won't move off the ball and find space. When he has the ball he is a handful for defenders, with his power and strength but off it he is so predictable that it must be a walk in the park for defenders.
Its almost pointless throwing a cross in when you have Lukaku in there because its pretty much a lucky dip. You either have to hope for a horrendous mistake from the lad marking him or the cross has to be pin point accurate.
Just watching the Man City game yesterday and watching Kane and Aguero off the ball. Kane is constantly looking to make slanting runs and will create space for himself. Aguero is one of the best in the game with his movement. His goal yesterday was an example.
Absolutely spot on - noted that in the match thread. Just awful. He's got to start helping the team so that the team can help him.
That donkey Jelavic who has scored one fewer league goals than Lukaku this season despite 11 less appearances yeah, in an inferior overall team?

Lukaku, but given one cost £6m and the other cost more than four times that amount, I'd expect a return better than this season. Or, if not that, I'd at least expect him to be doing something to benefit the entire attacking unit.
You know that gash season Jelavic had? Lukaku in terms of goals hasn't had much better, and has offered a lot less to the team as a whole too. If he doesn't slot, he may as well not be on the pitch half the time. At least Jelavic ran the channels and made a nuisance of himself, instead of standing still and watching a defender head a ball unchallenged.

HA he spent most his time for us offside or on his ass. Some of our fans are proper stoneage who'd prefer the type who run around alot compared to actual talent.
You say if Roms not scoring he might aswell not be on the pitch. Have you watched us when Rom isnt playing its like night and day the difference he makes.
And he doesnt stand still, hes actually on the move a fair bit and makes some clever runs but the lads behind him cant spot the run never mind play the pass
