Can I use that as me avatar?

And why wouldn't he? He'll have zero intention of staying with us regardless of what happens this season. Chelsea is his club, he'll be leading their line for the next 10 years and will become a club legend.

But Chelsea want Rooney and Falcao. Lukaku is a tremendous footballer but watching City today Negredo and Aguero are more clinical and better decision makers. Chelsea need instant success as this is what they are competing with.

Lukaku failed in 2 one on ones on Saturday and fluffed a 4 on 2 (that was so frustrating as we looked certain to score with players on the overlap on both sides free). He isn't the finished article and there are still no guarantees he will be what Chelsea want/require.

We have been so starved of top class forwards (Rooney the only complete striker). Yak could finish and Jelavic had an excellent 6 months (similar to Lukaku currently i.e composed finishing and latching onto through balls).

In a game that seemed to have a bit of everything, Lukaku's header for his second goal reminded me of Everton legend Bob Latchford at his best. His movement towards the near post followed by his bullet header suggests to me that Jose Mourinho has dropped a major clanger by letting the Belgium international leave Chelsea for Goodison, albeit on loan. This young man has a lot more to offer.

Did you know? The 20-year-old has now scored four times against Liverpool; his favourite Premier League opponent.

I proper lost it when that header went in...NEA. Must've been like WWIII for you in the LG.

Your Garth Crooks. I bloody knew it all along.

Falcao subbed after an hour for Monaco tonight against my second team, Nantes. He's not had the best of times I don;t think so it's highly possible he could be sold.

Chelsea have monitored him at Monaco all season since missing out in the Summer, including having staff at every Columbian international match. The longer Rooney fails to sign a new deal at Man U the more Chelsea will try and tempt him there.

three things need to happen for us to have any chance of making him ours.
1. chelsea sign a top top striker in january.
2. we pull it off this season and get 4th spot.
3. he "gets" it.

i would personally sell baines to fund lukaku if the chance came to sign him, look how well we played on saturday without baines out there, rom is going to be world class and i'd rather have one of the best strikers in the world than one of the best left backs.

The thing is though that the lad is 20 - and he already has a one goal per two games strike rate in the EPL. Chelsea could send him out on loan (ideally to us) for the next three seasons, watching him improve every year, and he still wouldnt be in his prime.

In short, Lukaku could well be the best striker to play for the club since Dean. If we get more than a season of him at the club we might well be blessed.
