Striker is one of those positions where it's hard to get a great bargain and having a top-class striker can win you 15+ points a season.

If we somehow managed to qualify for the CL group stages thanks to him, I'd take the £20m+ straight to Abramovich.

There comes a point though were surely he thinks moving away permanently is the best thing for him.
First Season: Not to be seen/heard from.
Second Season: Loaned to West Brom.
Third Season: Loaned to Everton.

Chelsea could quite easily buy a striker in Jan or the Summer so it could be;
Fourth Season: Bench or Loan.

The type of lad he is, he really wouldnt want that.

Still think we should be getting Jelavic on as much as possible though IMO. At least we own him there's no way Lukaku will be here next season and we need Jela firing on all cylinders.

Much as we would like to keep Lukaku, I do not think we could afford the transfer fee even if Chelsea were willing to part with him. Add to that would he be happy being a fulltime Everton player and could we afford the wages?
