Lukaku

I think it's fair to say that 20M isn't gonna be the number for us.

It may be the number for Chelsea and perhaps another club but I think that it'll be around 12M -15M range if we bid for Lukaku on a permanent deal.

Don't think it's worth paying 20M at this point.

I think the reason strikers at Everton seem to go to **** after a while is because of the role they're asked to play working they're bollocks off, running channels etc. Thought it would be a little different under Martinez but it still seems to be the same - strikers going off the boil...

I dunno perhaps it's knackering them toiling up front isolated with very little or no support. The only striker this one up top system seems to have benefited is Marcus Bent and he was pretty gash, didn't score much anyway and pretty much a very good all round athlete.

Thought Andy Johnson could have fitted the bill but after a promising start he went down hill perhaps he was too small to play the lone front man role? Even Yakubu seemed to receive the ball out wide near the touch line than he did in and around the box ffs, although I am willing to concede we may have got very unlucky with his freak injury as opposed to him just turning to ****.

1) Scored the winner against West Ham
2) Won us the game vs Newcastle
3) Scored what very well could've been the winner against The Sh*** (still got a point)
4) Assisted winner vs United
5) Winner vs. Southampton

There's five reasons why it hasn't been mate

9 goals in 7 games = good
0 goals in 12 games = shoite

I don't see how good + bad equals good. For me it's disappointing. A few random assists here and there doesn't improve it. While we're at it, Jelavic assisted Anichebe in the 2-1 win away at Newcastle. I didn't see him get as much cred as Lukaku.

Christ there is some drivel in here.

The lad had a slump in form, probably because he was knackered, and you are happy he is injured?

This sums it up totally.

Bobby should have played Mirallas/Naismith up top in the odd game and rested Lukaku but he didn't. Hope the injury isn't serious and he returns soon.

I remain uncertain about a Lukaku valuation. His touch is TERRIBLE. Think he's an impact player off the bench. I also think he has become a bity disillusioned with life as a solitary striker at Everton and will be looking forward to getting back to Chelsea with ACM's like Oscar and Hazard actually feeding him ball. Whether Jose wants him back is another matter.

1. We won't have a hope of signing him if we don't finish top 4.
2. Highly unlikely he will want to stay with us if we continue using him the way we do. We seem to be a club who hates through balls
