His logic is probably that there are more teams competing for 4th place this season.
This is no exaggeration; I would fill about 7 Olympic Sized swimming pools worth of my own Jizz if it happened.
But alas...
*breaks down into tears
Honestly cant see that logic at all. IMO we are improved from last year. Lets get Christmas/New year games done, then take a look.
Competition for fourth has heightened. Arsenal looking good; City and Chelsea have so much quality; Rooney and RVP will mean Uited are up there; RS better than last year; Spurs will eventually come good and Southampton are playing really good football.
I agree with others in that we have a shot, albeit an outside chance but just don't think we'll quite get there.
Dont disagree mate, but you can just as easily surmise that Spurs sack AVB next week, bring in god knows who. Suarez goes in January/gets snapped. RVP gets injured/ruined by Moyes, Southampton slip down the league, and Arsenals striker pulls up lame.
Then again, you could say exactly the same about us. That was the point I was making. I just do not think there is a really standout side this year, and everyone looks vulnerable to something or other. So why not we get it?
Just read that back, and we actually agree totally dont we!
Yeah, the odds are against us, but they were in '05, weren't they?

We're 3 points behind 2nd with a third of the season gone.
It's really not insurmountable; all we need is a bit of consistency. But then again, so do the teams around us.
This, this and this again.
Southampton are this years West Brom, they have no chance of getting 4th. A good team with a very strong work ethic but not enough quality to get enough points.
Pretty clear there's a problem with Lukaku and Jose's relationship.
We can get 4th.
We can keep Lukaku.
Be positive lads. Everton gets under your skin and it's happening to Romelu.
