Lukaku V Kane and Barkley V Alli

Eh? What the hell? Kane has only had 3 seasons in the PL, and in each of them he has scored 20 + PL goals. How can you even consider Lukaku being a more consistent goal scorer than Kane? Kane is consistency personified. You can't just pick time periods out of thin air, it's like me saying look at Alan Shearer's record over 15 seasons, he scored 300 goals, it's a league apart from Kanes. Well yeah but Kane has only had the opportunity to play 3 PL seasons...

And let's not inflate goal stats with cup goals, PL is what matters here and Lukaku is in Kane's shadow. Not once has he hit 20+ PL goals.....in 5 seasons. Kane has done it 3 times out of 3.

So to confirm, we're just ignoring the difference in quality of team and penalties completely then? Ok.

Honestly, someone needs to fill you Spurs fans in on how horrific we were the last two seasons.

Lukaku has 19 goals in 54 appearances for Belgium... he has a strike rate on par with his club career one. He had a decent Euros but he does not have a good record overall for Belgium.

Kane's record for England is 5 in 17. He has a quarter of the goals Lukaku has despite being the same age. It's a good indicator, of ability when they are out of the familiarity of club football.

Kane easily in my opinion.

He scores a whole number of types of goals. His interplay and link up play is very good. He's got superb technique and vision.

Can use both feet, good in the air. Work rate is exceptional.

I think Rom edges him physically in terms of attributes but that's it for me.

I love Rom but Kane is exceptionally talented.

Thats a fair point. Kane I still think works harder for the team, but Rom's power gives him an edge. I think Rom is quicker and stronger but Kane is a clever player with better movement. As I think Neville said, if you were a team who creates chances Kane is the man. If you are a side struggling then Lukaku can get you up the pitch.

At the moment I think Kane shades it. However I think Lukaku will be the better player longer term. I am also trying to give some balance to the "Lukaku's record is inferior to Kane's" though where people are picking and choosing the seasons they are using. We should use the entirety of the evidence shouldn't we?

Wait can somebody fill me in exactly on what I said that could imply any kind of racism?

Getting accused of it is very unsettling for me and I have reread all my posts and see no indication at all. Bang out of order tbh.
I don't think you have said anything mate don't worry we may disagree slightly in football but you have been respectful & polite etc

2013/2014 Everton finished 5th:
Lukaku: Goals 15, Minutes played 2557 (Average of 0.53 goals per 90mins)

2014/2015 Spurs finished 5th:
Kane: Goals 21, Minutes played 2589 (Average of 0.73 goals per 90mins)

There you go two completely comparable seasons.

Barkley's breakout season was a bit better than Alli's 1st season. However since then Alli has been better.

For career, Rom. As far as Kane goes it could be right manager, right club, right set up kind of thing. What you can't deny is that Kane has been excellent and having his best season. He's a deserved front runner for POY.

what's that meant to tell us? that Kane scored 6 goals more. You said Lukakus scoring record was average. So just to help you out as you seem to be struggling Lukaku has played 122 Premier League games for Everton and has scored 61 goals ( that's a goal every 2 games if you can't count ). He actually averages a goal a game in the fa cup and more than a goal a game in the Europa League

Can you confirm on what planet that is an average striker? Those stats are based on us finishing 5th, 11th, 11th, and currently 7th.

In your own time Jack.

It's average by being 20 goals better than Harry Kane.

Unfair comparison. Rom was built like Didier Drogba at 16. He was already a fully-grown adult. A bit like Rooney was.
