Dortmund mate, Seriously?

Check both there and Bayerns history in the transfer markets and the types of fee they have paid mate, and you really thionk they are going to break the Bundesliga record by about 20-25m to sign Lukaku?

Dortmund have just sold, Hummels and Gundogen. Aubameyang, Mikhitayren and Reus could also go, they may not go for Lukaku doesnt mean they cant afford him.

Additionaly the Bundesliga just signed a deal with Sky last week for 3.5 bill an 80% rise on their existing deal.

So in summary, yes, seriously.

Mate in theory Leicester or Southampton or any premiership team could afford him, the question isn't if Dortmund could raise enough money to pay what we asked, it's will they, every single transfer year you want to look at for them will show that they have zero ambition to suddenly start throwing around 60m bids on players, they have a system of transfers and they stick to that p=olicy (a benefit of a good DoF btw)

But by all means if you think that Dortmund intend or have even given it a second contemplation to make a statement and suddenly smash the Bundesliga transfer record by 25-30m never mind break their own transfer record by 35m then fair enough

I really don't want to read 8 pages about that oxygen thief Raiola so I'm sorry if I'm repeating, but aside from a lack of interest, is he maneuvering to strike a better deal for Rom based on Moshi's money?

When Sky falls, its taking the whole of football with it.

I know the point your trying to make mate, I think its a bit non-senseical to be applying objective measures to a subjective topic such as to transfer speculation, particularly to a player we are not sure will leave.

I think you have gone a bit rogue here on Dortmunds policy mate. My point was made to Bruce's original point who queried who financially could afford Lukaku who mentioned PSG, based on the new TV deal and player sales/possible others Dortmund could. The Budeslega will basically have access to what PL clubs have been earning this year - next year, thus having the financial capacity, whether they choose to or not is based on their strategy of recruitment is a internral matter, not a financial one, we can only speculate on their recruitment policy, based on history and opinion. You could make the same arguement about Everton and say Mata.

Shows that Everton are not going to be bullied into anything. We do whats best for the club no matter what. If that means Rom stays, good. If that means Rom goes, good we got what we value him at. If he stays though he better bang in goals cause I'm still mad about those comments he's been making.

I do kinda wonder if he won't be priced out of even a move to PSG. If they bought him for the fee we want, it would break their transfer record quite comfortably (by around €20m). Would they want to spend that kind of money on someone who isn't the finished article yet, especially as they're looking to replace someone who got 50 goals last season.

Given that he'd be the 5th most expensive player ever, I'm just not sure they wouldn't be looking for someone more established in the game than Rom is. For all his undoubted potential, his international record is pretty modest, and he has no CL pedigree to speak of (and we all know about his first touch). For me he's still a work in progress in the same way that Stones and Barkley are.
Agree with all that but this is the club that spent 50 million on David flipping Luiz.
