So your saying he's the 2nd coming then? Didn't say he was [Poor language removed] did I? Said he was a kid with potential and nothing more. And of course he would get in their side now, christ I would get in their side now as they are that wank up top.

Potential? He outpowered, outpaced and tricked his way past the likes of Baines and Distin.

When the likes of Kompany says he will be one of the top 5 strikers in the world at the rate he's progressing then you know he's good.

Me? I just use my eyes and judgement, the lad has the lot. £10m is a steal. Lille tried to keep him under the radar as they rated him as a better potential player than Hazard. I knew this before the world cup as his inclusion raised eyebrows.

Apart from being rapid, skilful, excellent ball control and physically powerful for a 19 year old ?

The lad is going to be class. Lille tried to keep him under wraps but belgium knew he could do a job in the world cup and he did.

I'm gutted that lot got him. He's good enough to play for them now.

Hibbert's better than their entire defence mate - not saying much is it.

Origi is good, but tires after 50/55 mins every time i've seen him play. Will probably be an excellent player but I would still rather have Rom in the team, lets put it that way.

ahead of borini, lambert and a totally out of form balotelli with 1 goal to his name - not exactly a great compliment

i don't think he can finish tbh, what's his scoring record? he missed a hatful in the WC - very good player potentially though

Sound mate, he's boss cos he out powered past Distin and Baines approx 3 times. And Kompany says he's one of the best 5 strikers in the world? Same player who mentioned we had signed a top top player a few years ago when we hadn't as it was too late in the window. Said player hasn't done sod all to my knowledge has he? Kompany, boss player but don't thing he's quite there yet when it comes to picking and choosing world class players. And like you, I use my own eyes which =

3 Lille games
2 World cup appearances
Tonight
And from that I can gather the kid has potential and I think 99% of people would agree that's a fair assessment. If you've seen him 20 games a season for 3 seasons then fair play mate but I'm not going to big up a player who I thought was average tonight and only shown glimpses of class the times I've seen him.

Yeah but he's got a crap name though.

Lukaku sounds well better.

Lu-ka-ku...

Lukaku.

Boss.

Happy with the point.

Thought we had the more dangerous chances and if McGeady could have pulled off that final ball, we'd have bagged the win fairly comfortably tonight.

We'll batter them at home so again, I'm happy with the point.

Bring on Sunday.

Did you make it in time for kick off?

No mate, got to the stadium just after half time. By the time I got in managed to see the last 25 minutes.

Fantastic to see so many Blues in the stadium though.

If anyone ever doubted how big a club we are, and how deep the bond is between the club, supporters and the City of Liverpool, then look at tonight.

An amazing turnout, the cost and commitment by ordinary supporters warms the heart - the result is almost the icing on the cake rather than the cake itself.

Origi has attributes which reminds me of Thierry Henry ignore him if it makes you feel better about Lukaku but this lad is for real. He is no further away from the finished article as Lukaku is, that is clear in his control, the ability to work the defenders out across the backline, and his strength for 19 is awesome.

He is going to be a big player, already very good.

Where have I mentioned Lukaku mate? Why would I need to compare them with Lukaku?

If you want to talk about Lukaku go and jump into your favourite thread which is Lukaku and if you read back you will actually see i have agreed with you on a couple of things about Lukaku. I think your thinking I'm someone else who has said Lukaku is the dogs bollocks and Origi is [Poor language removed] or something.

Just got back from Lille. Had an absolutely smashing day. Met a lot of blues, who were as always very welcoming to a foreign fan. So many thousand fans doing their club proud. Bless the day I found out I was a chosen one.

Only minor let down was the terrible decision making by the French riot police, but luckily it didn't spoil the rest of the day too much. Although I can understand that the victims of the teargassing might think differently about that
