bare in mind we were without coleman, mccarthy and mirallas again today and ross was nowhere near fit - these players are pivotal to how we play, they give us the pace and energy to make us play fast - we would have won with ease with them playing you'd think.

I appreciate flair players. You have to take the rough with the smooth with them.

I understand that other people would rather watch more dogged, limited players who sweat bullets. But I prefer a bit of skill rather than a lot of effort.

I prefer both. McGeady has neither.

When was the last time he beat his man? Not once tonight. He did, however, constantly lose the ball and take the wrong option.

Christ, you're all easily pleased.

Crap performance. Could have won that if we pulled our fingers out...
Spot on, dreadful game, any one happy with that needs their head examining, even when we had the ball we did nothing with it

That's very fickle. Did you think that when he scored this season?

Clean sheet. Point. Winger play left something to be desired. Only time we've looked dangerous this year is when Lukaku is paired with two of Barkley/Naisy/Mirallas/Eto'o.

Time to do Burnley.

I'm not surprised Martinez blamed the pitch. I said it at half time and it did look pretty soft and easily cut up and water damaged.

Frankly I was fearing an injury so glad that didn't happen. Might be also why Coleman didn't play with his dodgy hamstrings.

That rat at the end diving. If the ref doesnt buy it, Rom and Atsu are away and theres no chance they're getting caught.
Despite us being poor, Lille barely created anything clear cut, we could of went for it more, they're awful and we'll spark them at Goodison in 2 weeks, easy.

Decent point. Just like the Krasnodar game, though, you can't help but feel if we turned up the heat a bit more then we would have comfortably won.

Thought Barry, Besic and Hibbert all had good games. Eto'o looked lively, too, especially with Lukaku up top with him.

Also, Lol @ ITV swooning over Origi and every single thing he did because he's a Liverpool player now. Jags and Distin had him their back pockets all night.

Just gutted we couldn't snatch it at the end, would have been a great way to send off our great support who have been through enough travelling, never mind all the crap with the Lille Police.

No, not that one, there he was unlucky... Later on when he had the hole if the right fink to attack.
Yep, that was the worst of his performance though, tbf.

Look, we played well as a team and did very well at a difficult teams ground. All contributed to that.

nice and solid and we haven't been able to say that much this season, thought we showed a bit of European savvy tonight, also I've been a big critic of jags this term, but he led us fantastically through that one.
