Looking likely that top 5 will be needed for Europe.

Is there a chance we could win the fair play award? Because we have been such fine citizens this year.

If it's not CL then I'm proper not arsed about Europe tbh.

I'd rather miss out having to play in the 2nd rate EL & be able to concentrate on the domestic pots & chasing a CL spot next season.

correct, one game doesn't make a season, just coz they stuck 8 on a piss poor Villa side doesn't mean they will either.

They still have a squad past it's use by date, Ba not withstanding.

And do we actually rate the FSW

No they don't, their squad is now full of good youngish players with the only really older first team players being Lampard, Terry and Cole who can all still do a job. The only player in my opinion that they should move on is Torres as he is never going to get the form back he had at the RS and when Ba came on yesterday he looked more threatening in 10 minutes than Torres did all game.

I wouldn't be surprised at all, if all 3 of them weren't at the Bridge come August. Abramovich appears to have decided that their dressing room influence is undermining his managerial choices, so they're toast.

I don't think it's that unlikely that the two FA cup finalists will have already qualfied for europe, to be honest.

same, apart from that stupid year where cardiff, barnsley, pompey and some other championship team were the semi final outfit - it's usually been the same old top 6 more or less taking up at least 3 of the semi places - the FA Cup is still massive to the top teams.

also, we're not getting fair play league because hwe've commited the most fouls in the league

I fully expect us to finish in the top five anyway. We're a brilliant side right now and we have been for over a year.

I'd be disappointed with 5th actually. We're pulling out results with our only recognised striker playing like pish; as soon as Jelavic starts scoring we'll be nigh on unstoppable.

No faces leaving this window, expecting one or two in - probs on loan - so we'll be stronger going into the second half of the season after a classy first half.

Onwards and upwards.

Also, this ^

I would agree wholeheartedly with this if it wasn't for injuries. We've already played half the season through pretty hard luck on that front. If that continues, it doesn't matter what we do, we won't get 4th and 5th is unlikely.

The UEFA cup is crap anyway. Unless you win it, there isn't really much of a point being in it.

A few Evertonians buzzing off drinking a can of lager in the streets of Portugal isn't worth losing out on points in the Premier League.

Those same points would be the ones that help us qualify for the Europa...
