Definitely appears that it was with the statement from Macy’s, especially in the current climate.
and the guy who filmed it is insisting the word was used.

nobody actually said the people of colour can’t be prejudice by the way.

anyone can be prejudice.

but the argument against racism being ‘but black people can be racist too’ is frankly ridiculous.

I mean it was said...

This is what is meant by white privilege, and why in Europe and America, you can’t really accuse a POC of being racist towards whites.

Why did you remove the context of the entire quote?

I say this because context is important.

The post talked about reverse racism and why it’s misguided.
No it doesn’t. It talks about institutional racism and how it’s effects ‘excuse‘ exactly this type of scenario.

I see you’ve removed any context from my post there, cherry picking what makes you look in the right. Bit of a scumbag thing to do that mate.
Your entire point was that POC can't be racist because of the effects of institutional racism.

I'm not sure how, using this a perfect example, how someone going out and kicking the sh*t out of a random white person exactly evens that balances the power dynamic out. Perhaps you'd like to go and tell this bloke that he deserved it because the police stop more black people?

You said something absolutely ridiculous, stop acting like a victim for getting called out on it.

I’m not arguing with you here. If you want to twist context and claim I’ve backed randomly attacking random white people, I have nothing to say.

Not sure how you’re arguing about context. I’ve just gone back and read the entire post and the part quoted doesn’t lose its meaning or gain clarity when taken with the rest of it. You were explaining institutional racism and then as a result concluded people of colour cannot be accused of racism against white people.

Where’s the misrepresentation ?

The context is pointing out how ridiculous the concept of reverse racism is.

Well if you read the whole post the point is that POC experience institutionalised, and systemic racism. You do not get people in the UK missing out on jobs, being repeatedly stopped and searched because they are white. Further to this studies have shown police are 60+% more likely to use stronger force against people from a BAME background.

Precisely how are POC racist towards whites? Do you really think calling someone “white boy” or the like is akin to calling someone the “n” word?

Even further than that, let’s hypothetically say that POC were able to systemically and institutionally discriminate against white people in certain areas, would that mean two wrongs make a right? Or that we should invalidate all of the injustice they suffer?

dont much about stop and search. Is every stop and search recorded by the police? Is this just based on random checks or suspicious behaviour?
