Kellogg was a racist. He’d also been dead for 18 years before a company he’d setup started using a cartoon monkey on a box. It’s a bit like blaming Marx for Pol Pots indulgences.

Just because she’s black it doesn’t mean she has a valid point, as plenty of others have pointed out.

The irony being that the most racist part of this discussion is those who feel the need to reference somebody’s skin colour when assessing their opinions, as if that somehow impacts the validity of them.

It’s been an amazing journey really. A protest against police brutality against the most destitute in American society and the institutional racism which fuels said brutality can lead to a poxy argument that a cartoon monkey is used instead of 3 elves is somehow racist. The point has well and truly been missed.

Maybe she was being disengenuous to get her point across to Kelloggs?

Just a thought.

If a black person says something ridiculous about racism, you can’t disagree otherwise you’re a racist.

Didn't need to be though did he ? A simple fixed penalty fine would have done the trick. From the picture I saw he took a slash at the side of the memorial, rather than pissing over it, so the chances are, he was blithely ignorant of where he was, which ( being blindly ignorant ) sums him, and his scummy mates up quite nicely.

Storm in a teacup, and he was charged with outraging public decency, rather than a standard civil charge, to play to Mail readers and the like.

Is he a knobhead ? Yes, undoubtebly.

Should he have been punished in some way ? Definitely, but mainly because he was stupid enough to get caught.

Was it worth criminalising him ? For me, nah ( though who knows, he may already have had a record ). Plainly you disagree like, which is fine, but there was far worse footage seen over the last couple of weeks. The lad trying to burn the flag on the cenotaph last week and the the thug hurling racist abuse at some black lads while flipping them a nazi salute with a "Sieg Heil" thrown in this weekend come immediately to mind.

Haha, behave yourself squire, never read so much bollocks, in so few words, in my life !

Well, actually, I have, but I'll run with you being number one for now.

The context means more to me than you, evidently.

He wasn't just some lad on a night out desperate for a wee.

He was at a far right, violent demo. Hence he gets no sympathy from me and deserves no defending by anyone.

What was her point if she was, in fact, being ‘disengenuous’?

Your claims of racism while defending a disgraced former Labour MP is the only thing disingenuous here.
