The current Conservative Party has now become an irrelevance. The backstabbers who brought down Boris and those that will bring down Truss have lost any mandate to govern … personally I’d sack the lot of them and start again.…..

Of course it was a stupid mistake getting rid of Boris. The Conservative party members only had a choice of two, one a backstabber and the other a lightweight. It was the MP’s who cocked it up by putting Truss ahead of Mordaunt. It was about 40 MP’s , just about half of the majority that Boris won, that forced him out. The biggest piece of self harm and suicide seen in politics for a long while. You don’t like Boris because you know he would have romped the next election…..

Just a minute, everyone knows Boris tells lies, so does every other Politician across Europe and the USA. Clinton “ I did not have sexual relations with that woman”, every other recollection that comes out of Joe Biden mouth etc etc. don’t play the holier than thou here, they all do it. At least with Boris we knew…….

I think he is a terribly flawed character. He has the intellect and charisma to be an excellent politician. If his priority was the Country instead of himself he may not be seen as such a lazy, self-indulgent, empty vessel.

The only good to come out of this thus far is not having hear his world salad waffle. Inherited wealth allows idiots to be educated and rise way above their natural abilities. Apparently Tory MPs with petition going about to reinstate him as PM. And that's fitting finally, a proven liar or the incompetent heading up Conservative government.

It will be mate. He is going to be a short term fix, right at the end of the Brexit negotiations to sell a compromise to Tories.

Covid gave him a stay of execution well beyond his intended purpose.

I dont even think hes that charismatic. Hes just very entitled. He is a good salesman, and recognises a good opportunity.

I also dont think hes that bright. I'm normally very wary of people who constantly do things like needlessly quote Latin, or whatever. Its overkill, developed from insecurity. The people I've met who are really clever dont do that. They dont need to.

You see, I dont think you're right mate.

I'll try not to be ideological. I dont think Major lied, or Brown, of Osborne or Theresa May. They may have all had their flaws, and said things people dont agree with, but think they were all quite honest.

Johnson was busy sh@gging his floozy while his wife had cancer. That tells you a lot about the fella. I know for some guys it makes him some great guy. But to anyone older than 17, that's very poor behaviour.

I played cricket with a fella high up the at the Foreign Office. A died in the wool Tory type, MCC member, ex Etonian etc. Years ago he told me things about Johnson, and he couldnt stick him at all.
