Racist undertones??
They said they wanted Jersey jobs to go to local people, its a way in which small Islands grow their economy.
I heard someone make a rue de remark there last year, blooming French!I heard someone say cul-de-sac once.
Does that help?
Turned down a good job there ...... always windy on that island .......good for sea fishing - I remember when you could order kippers out of the Liverpool Echo & they would arrive the next day ......TBF the Jersey lot have always been about "how much money do you have" if you want to actually live there, it is very akin to the Isle of Man in that respect except with better beaches and a much less experienced accident and emergency department.
You said "I'm not for that sorta change, just cull my fingertip ta" ?I heard someone say cul-de-sac once.
Does that help?
Not really mate, no. It has French influence in some town names and that, but its as British as any British place. Pubs, drive on the left, currency, language, police, monarch, all sorts.
Like Ashby de la Zooch.
Mordor and hunt will be running the show from now on

Remember when everyone was going berserk about Boris having a piece of cake, but interest rates were low, mortgages were affordable, the pound was stable, state borrowing was cheap and pensions were safe...sometimes people get unintended consequences from their wishes…..

Mordaunt is like the political equivalent of Deontay Wilder. Looks good against the not particularly talented but gets shown up against anyone that knows their brief.Mordaunt should have got it after Boris…
