Jersey is?

Ok.
Is Jersey very French?


The island also has a strong Norman-French culture, such as its historic dialect of the Norman language, Jèrriais, being one of only two places in Normandy with government status for the language (the other being Guernsey), as well as the use of standard French in legal matters and officially in use as a government . On paper owned by the British Royal Crown it ends there......
 
I never listened to any of the leave campaign,I had made my mind up historically as I applied for a job in Jersey when I qualified as a top horticulturalist - I got a reply back which was racist towards me with a PTO after they stated they only wanted the jobs to employ local people so my chances were ......

So you voted to leave cos you got turned down for a job in Jersey once?

Jersey has never been a member of the EU.
 
It was the racist undertones in the letter then the PTO part - I was disgusted their loss anyway as I always got an interview in the UK & had a prosperous career - back on topic truus will not survive that long ..,
Racist undertones??

They said they wanted Jersey jobs to go to local people, its a way in which small Islands grow their economy.

Not really mate, no. It has French influence in some town names and that, but its as British as any British place. Pubs, drive on the left, currency, language, police, monarch, all sorts.

Like Ashby de la Zooch.
