quite incredible that if we were to win we'd have brought that gap from 16 points at one point, to 3.

Aye, just how good our form has been the past 12 games has been largely brushed over as people see us still,in 7th and not moving from that spot, but at one point the gap between us and the 'top 6' and especially the 4th place trophy spot was absolutely huge.

Right now, it really is there for the taking, Arsenal are done - completely done, and will limp home in 7th this season, they remind me of us last season when the wheels completely came off. United have some major fixture congestion coming and Mourinho's habit of not rotating his preferred 11 will start biting them soon (they have some massive games left on the schedule as well) if they go to the semis/final of Europa then the will struggle more and more in the league, and finally the rs, who are bipolar - on paper they have by farthe easiest remaining set of games - but those are the exact games which they have all season failed to show up in.

Comes down ultimately to the head to head game what we can do now (but out of our remaining games i'd favour us in every one after these two)

3 at the back please Koems.

Barkley, Gueye and Davies in midfield.

Mirallas and Lukaku up top. Or maybe Valencia over Mirallas if you're that way inclined.

Sit back, crowd out our defensive third and (assuming they don't score early anyway) counter them remorselessly at every opportunity. Basically do what Swansea, Southampton Leicester and Wolves did to them. No one apart from Chelsea has done it properly since and I believe that's why Liverpool's form has improved. We actually have the players to do it.

Maybe others on here (and possibly Koeman) disagree with me and I'm not usually one for telling the manager what to do before a game, but I really think this is a no-brainer.

100% the right way to go about it.

Teams who "go for it" at Anfield get picked off quite easily. But if you are clever about it, it's easy to draw them out and then get in behind them.
