honestly, i'm wondering though. if the shoe was on the other foot and silva ran on, would we be defending him? honestly

Of course we would, he would have cult status but we have just lost so we need something to moan about and we need to see Klopp get a touchline ban.
If Silva did it I would defend him to the hilt....just the way the ball rolls.

We have come a long way since last year. Played well, unlucky to lose today and it hurts the manner in which we lost. But we did lose. In those key moments you have to take your chances. It was the same at Arsenal, if you don't you will be punished. The strikers are the difference in top teams. We need a top striker.

They got lucky yeah. But we’ve gone from being completely outclassed by them hoping to get lucky ourselves to them spending the second half punting long balls because they had nothing else. We’ll come back again next season under Silva and be even better and at some point they’ll crack. We can’t let one crazy moment of luck change what actually happened in the match. They’re a good side and we absolutely matched them on their own turf. Don’t buy into the post match RS propaganda.

Seamus had a very good game and gets my vote. Everton as a whole very unfortunate not to score, but took the game to the home side for the whole 96 minutes. Siggy had a quiet game overall, Guye poor in the first half but improved in the second, Gomes another RR performance, Keane and Mina faultless, Digne very good, Bernard good in patches. Given that most people expected it to be another Sunday stroll in the park for the rs it was an impressive performance that bodes well for the future. COYB :drunk::pint2:
Thank God for a bit of sanity amongst some who had us laid out in Coynes before the match even.

Yes but it cost us the game and that's what matters. Yes players make mistakes, Distin in the semi final did and plenty of other times our players have made mistakes. But to make it in the 96th minute of a game at Anfield when it's 0-0, is just unforgivable. I don't care if it's kneejerk, or not I'd quite happily sell him in January. It just means we have to go yet another season, unless we draw them in the cup, with an awful defeat at Anfield. All players make mistakes, but very rarely at times, when they matter so much. It means that thousands of blues, we have an awful night and a appalling week of abuse from their RS colleagues and people at school. People have already said on here, they have got into arguments with their spouses, losing is bad enough but to lose in that way, is just too hard to deal with. I'd be quite happy to never see him in an Everton shirt again, he also has kept them in the title race.

Boo Hoo mate...sit through a 5-0 defeat at Goodison and then start complaining.....so fecking what? Stecklenshite in for Newcastle? Behave will you

20 years of hurt.. and I'm absolutely certain it'll be at least another 20.

I don't really care that we came close. Still no cigar.

If the RS played us every weeke they'd absolutely p"£S the league by 40 pts.

How about we as a fanbase collectively agree to completely ignore the next derby and just get the result after, to see if that helps at all?
I just expect the worst before it start most times,so use to it when it happens, and was worried as any game that we would conceed late and no worst way than to lose near enough last touch, typical they have won v us late more than any other team and have more 90th min winners than any team by a mile

The PL will include his antics in a promotional clip the next time they're sat in front of some corporate executives trying to get another money spinning sponsor ship deal. It will be lapped up not punished.

I have to agree with you. The pundits asked the question that what would happen if Mourhinio did it.

Of course we would, he would have cult status but we have just lost so we need something to moan about and we need to see Klopp get a touchline ban.

Am I bothered Klopp ran on? No. Should he get a touchline ban? Yes. It´s just not the right thing to do and if someone like Mourinho had been next to him in the dugout all hell would have broken loose. Silva took it with a touch of class by not rising to it.
