I had a drink in the game then was. Drinking from 320 till god knows! I can't remember Anything after the game or getting home

That's how you do it mate!

Good on you. If we can't do it on days like yesterday, when can we?

I had enough real ale and cider to sink a battleship...I think dark rum was even involved at some point.

Did anyone else notice how Anfield fell silent (except for a dozen or so people booing) when Eto came on. It reminded me of a very young Wayne rooney when the oppo's supporters used to groan when he got the ball. They seemed genuinely nervous of our Samuel and quite rightly so, he changed the game for us when he came on. The guy just seems to find space others can't see. WE LOVE SAMMY

It worried me we never had men in the box when we had the ball in crossing positions Lukaku always out wide, not looking to get in the box as that would mean moving.

we need our big lads in the box, Naisy can head a ball but he was to deep most of the time

I don't wander over to RAWK very often - mostly when that lot have got something to complain about - but I made an exception today and the in-running commentary makes very pleasant reading:

91 Lallana running himself absolutely ragged!

Liverpool don't deal with the crosses and it's headed out to Jagielka on the edge of the box and he takes it on the volley and scores an absolute worldie into the top corner!

1-1.

F*** RIGHT OFF!

I do love reading the melt fest the day after haha.

Didn't play well yesterday, but neither did they. Most of their 24 efforts were high and wide, or comfortable saves for Howard - who should've saved the free-kick but made a brilliant (albeit accidental) save to stop it being 2-0. Jags and Stones had good games - the shote only looked dangerous when we had to press out.

Yes we were toothless up front, but for the first half an hour Kev and Rom were getting in good positions - Mirallas injury really shook us. That needs to be looked at, and we need to focus on players getting fit quickly. Coleman must've done something else to keep him out for this long - you don't have a fitness test for concussion surely? - wouldn't want him being rushed back and doing more damage though.

Hopefully that gears us up and like Jags said after - we go again and hopefully it isn't a false start like West Brom was. If we can get a result vs. Krasnodar - we'll be going into the Utd game with plenty of confidence. Need Seamus back though an someone needs to tell McGeady to step up. There's a decent player in there but he doesn't show it enough.

Right. Just watched the full game again. Having not watched nor listened earlier, I 'caught up' on here first.

What a shower of absolute bellends the majority on here are. If I hadn't have watched it I would be convinced we were beyond woeful from reading this thread.

Fukn drama queens doesn't even begin to cover it. Some of the in-match comments are unbelievable.

Watch the full game again, read back through this thread, then consider what monumental trumpets you are.

Bells.

COYB. NSNO.

My exact thoughts here. Missed (deliberately) the game as well and by what I read on here, I was expecting wall to wall Liverpool with our woodwork taking a beating and Howard making another record breaking saves total. We, bar a couple of chances and being iffy going forward, were comfortable ffs.

After reading that lot from last night I'm pretty sure there'll be some sore heads today. :drunk: I'm totally up for calling Jags' strike "THE GREATEST GOAL EVER SEEN IN THE KOP END". Pretty much called it that myself yesterday, and if it winds that lot up then I'm all the more for it.

In context with how we've been doing recently, I'm actually pleased with our performance. It was sort of back to basics, defensively. Martinez played three DMFs because he probably had little faith in Hibbert at RB which, unfortunately, left our forwards isolated. But goals haven't been the problem for us and, when we have Coleman back and fit, I'm sure we'll be plundering forward and scoring plenty of goals again.

John Stones adds a vibrancy to our central defence that has been lacking. Liverpool had most of the ball but were feeding off scraps in terms of goal chances. I was in a monstrous fume because the only way they were ever going to score was from a silly set-piece which we duly conceded to them. Browning looked great when he came on, and I'd be delighted to see him deputize should Seamus sustain another knock. Besic looked very composed and, apart from one or two occasions when he lost possession, he looked the part. I was happy with his contribution.

Anyway, that was the greatest goal I've ever seen at the Kop end, went absolutely Super Saiyan when it went in. I'm happy for Jags, who has come in for a lot of recent criticism. But it looks as if himself and Stones could form a very solid pairing and I'm officially excited for our season. Let's win a cup.

If Browning continues to impress, there is no reason Hibbo should see the pitch.

Absolutely this. People are going surprisingly easy on Hibbert here today, but he made very few blocks or tackles of note and let a lot of Sterling's passes into dangerous areas which went unpunished only because of Ballotelli's cack postitional sense. I'd like to see how Browning fares in the first team, he looks hungry and energetic and we could do with a little of that while Seamus is missing.
