The ferry takes like an hour. Could you not just buy a couple of pints from the bar ?

There will probably be a duty free on the ferry too which is usually quite reasonable.

Let's hope the local gendarmerie don't take fright at the prospect of such large numbers invading their town and decide to close all town centre bars like happened in Florence -- [Poor language removed] day that was!

I was in Florence from midday after spending the night in Milan, there was 5 of us and we never had a problem getting a pint anywere in the centre. We found a great english pub right facing McDonalds..

You don't get 'Duty Free' between EU member states unless you are more than a certain distance offshore which doesn't happen on that route.

There are loads of Bars on the Ferries.

Our hotel is 100 yards from this Irish bar Irish Corner La Madeleine so we will be in there from 5 pm to talk to locals to find cheap bars near the centre, 8 of us staying in appartcity

Never been so excited for a match before. It'll be like Nuremburgx2. Just hope everyone going stands and sings the whole game like Alkmaar and Nuremburg, unlike those that went to Krasnodar.

I do not exactly the price but it is not excessive. And very importantly, you have the choice because there is a lot pubs in the center of Lille (main square, vieux-lille etc.)

Have to find an off license en route from Calais to Lille and load up with the beers. Hip flasks will be in action. McDonalds for lunch. Sorted. Classy aren't i hahaha!

There are beer places near calais to get booze. Though not as many s there used to be.

If you keep going north past Dunkirk you're soon over the border - there's a load of booze warehouses by the border in Belgium, really cheap.
