Heard of a mate who works at the City of Manchester stadium that Lescott is buzzing at signing for City because he lives near Manchester , his kids in school there and his wife hates Liverpool so much so she never came to watch him play at Goodison . Dont know whether he added that last bit on . He said his agent had been in talks with Hughes for over a month discussing signing on fees and wage structure . Also said Lescott himself sent Hughes his medical records by fax whilst in Amsterdam also claiming Moyes was being a cnut .

Reporter on Radio Merseyside reckons it hasn't gone through yet because City are a) umming and ahhing over paying all the cash upfront (as per their modus operendi) because EFC are still talking about reporting them for tapping up and b ) they're still looking to horse trade over the fee with Jo as the makeweight. I reckon thats why we are taking them to court over the whole sorry episode . Wobetide anyone who now starts harping on about us being the wrong for doing this . Or Moyes making a fool of himself for carrying it on . Anyone who doesnt stand by the club during all this is off my christmas list
