Alan Stubbs your a [Poor language removed] a [Poor language removed], Alan Stubbs your a [Poor language removed] a [Poor language removed],, sing this next home game

I was amazed when I saw the headline but there is a direct quote from Stubbs (I think it was at a Football Writers event) so there's no disputing that he said it. He's the U21 coach. Why did he think it was his job to state something publicly that the club and its manager have not stated? Looks as though he's enjoying the limelight and you have to seriously question his judgement.

There's a reason why baines shouldn't play for Man utd..................he was born in LIVERPOOL!
Only wools would say they wouldn't blame him for leaving.

I think this gif sums up my feelings about your post, showed some early promise with a nice opening line, then just as we were gonna get to the good bit you absolutely trashed it.

..I posted as recently as yesterday that we should brace ourselves for him going. Its unrealistic and perhaps a little romantic thinking that players wouldn't want to move when Man Utd come knocking. I said I wouldn't be surprised if Baines asked to talk to United. Because he's such a good pro, he hasn't rocked the boat and demanded a move, but I wouldn't be surprised if the club asked him to stay another year.
Apparently the news has come from Stubbs. Unless somebody has asked him to communicate this, it does seem a daft thing to do. Baines is clearly a good bloke and will want the move to happen in proper fashion. I expect that's what has been going on behind the scenes until Stubbs intervention.

The night before the game as well, lol. If Baines wants to go, then he better get on the phone to Moyes and tell him to put a decent bid in and not a ****ty bid. This explains why no contract been offered. He wants out but want his loyalty bonus at the same time. This will now go onto Jan, where Man u will now offer a lower bid of around 12 million.

Harsh that like.

I don't think you're anywhere near the truth there. Baines is still a Blue, because he refused to rock the boat to get the move, he'd have gone if the clubs agreed a fee, but was equally Ok with staying if they didn't.

Maybe i''m being harsh but Martinez now saying no talks about contracts are taking place, this sounds like Baines and his agents don't want to renew the contract. He could still have his eye on a move in Jan.

Baines' silence over the summer was basically him admitting he wanted to go. If he wanted to stay he could have come out and said it and that would have been an end to it. Moyes obviously thought he could get Baines to engineer a move but credit to the lad he didn't kick up a fuss. Still think he'll go in Jan though. Particularly if Utd are struggling.
