Leicester Sack Puel

As @killenefc mentioned, I don't think it's about Everton being unambitious compared to Leicester, but rather other factors including financial implications etc.

Silva has been here for less than a season and only this week we've agreed to pay £4m for him. If we sacked him, then there's the rest of his contract to pay off.

We're still paying for Fat Sam, Koeman and the Martinez departure payment was ridiculous, so rightly or wrongly I can't see them pulling the trigger any time soon.
You'd like to think that there'd be some sort of performance related clause in his contract to stop a huge payoff if we sacked him, then again this is Everton

Like with the PFA, the League Managers Association are very rigorous about enforcing contracts and ensuring that these stringent KPIs don't take over.

Just look at Martinez, with the support of the LMA, and how he took us to court after his dismissal so that we paid up pretty much all his contract.

Koeman and Sam have got the same deal, so I would be really surprised if Silva has any such clauses and if he does, then they'll only be a small percentage.

isn't a newly appointed manager always in the clean up the mess off the previous??

Strange decision from the outside tbh.

He is never a popular manager but seemed he had them on a good run not too long ago. It makes you question where their ambition truely lies if just under the top 6 effectively is not good enough (7th down to us are pretty much midtable)

There's a massive difference in the performances of us and Leicester, we've been genuinely turd since December, Leicester haven't quite yet got over their owner's tragic death in October, unfortunately they've made Puel the fall guy for that

But this is the exact reason we had to stick with Sam for another 12 months.
As I said there run in a professional way, were not

Why should we have? We weren't improving under him once we were well clear, and we would have had more guff in the squad because we certainly wouldn't have got Brands in
Exactly, some of the in-game stats under Allardyce were some of the worst ever seen in the PL, we went 4 games with 1 shot on target after spending £50m on attacking players. He never tried to win one game it was always aim for a draw and if we did win it was a fluke and all whilst being on more than most managers in the CL. Allardyce should have tried to do more when here, if he had he might have been given his extra year imo.

One point behind us........

Season not good enough for Leicester but OK for us????

REALLY?!?!

The problem with so many of the OUT posts is there is no context at all given. None at all.

I mean, even after putting the context in, it's still reasonable to want him booted out, but constantly claiming amazement that he hasn't been sacked by now or that some don't want him sacked now is a bit silly to be honest. You all already know the reasons, even if you don't like them. Its never as simple as many of these posts want to paint it.
