Yes, we are playing much better and are much better to watch. But don't raise your hopes too high for this season! We will be in competition with Bournemouth, Leicester, Watford and Wolves.

There is still an enormous gap between us and the big six. While there is a question mark over Manchester United, the other five are already in place.
I agree with your point about who we are competing with this season but, aside from the top three who are out of sight unfortunately, I'm not so sure about the top 6 being all that great. Arsenal, Spurs and, as you mentioned, Man It's don't look all that impressive to me this season. There is a chance for someone to upset the apple cart this year (it won't be us, obviously, because Everton that and so on).

The most satisfying win (and performance) of the season so far.

For the first time in seemingly forever I can't question the commitment to the cause yesterday from any player involved.

I was impressed by the tracking back of our front four - taking it in turns to do their bit.

I had concerns about whether Richarlison would be able to hold the ball up and be able to match Leicester's centre backs physically but he did just fine. He wasn't missed on the left because of Bernard's performance - whom I still think isn't fully match fit. Stay with us for a length of time and Bernard is going to be very special for us. Sigurdsson has match winning quality and he showed it yesterday. I said to my brother, "How often have you seen an Everton player do that?" He made the sublime look simple.

I went for Bernard as MOTM, Sigurdsson a close second and all the squad deserve a pat on the back for yesterday's display - a deserving away victory against a decent side. More please :D

EFC deserved the win but LCFC could also have scored two from almost uncontested headers in the six yard box.

That header the defender put wide - Scherderlein failing to contest as usual - in the last few minutes would have
been hard to stomach. I, for one, hope that Mina is going to bully everyone in sight just like he did for Colombia
against England and add some starch to our defence. Plus our goal drought at corners is going to end because Mina
attacks headers like Cahill.

Tbf all teams are going to have chances, this is professional football. The amount of chances we should have scored far outweigh what they should have.

obviously streams are banned but here is an artistic reimagining of it

Is that you in costume???? No room for improvement on that.

I honestly think our performance is being somewhat overstated by many on here. We dominated for large parts of that first half and sadly were undone on the counter. In the second half I think Leicester were looking more and more likely as the half went on until the sending off. Then the game was ours for the taking and thankfully Sigurdsson pulled an absolute worldy out the bag. After which we could have scored again but protected the ball well, which granted is easier with an extra man. Almost a sickener with their chance from the corner but I can't really say too much about that, any team can get one set piece and score.

The important thing is that we got back to back wins and more importantly we finally won away from home. It's been such a problem for us for many years so to finally rid ourselves of that is why I think this win seems perhaps a bit better than it actually was.

That said, it was very important that we get an away win in any shape or form, so even if we'd have got battered all game and just sneaked a lucky 1-0 it still would have been huge.

Not trying to be a party pooper, but just trying to keep us grounded a bit. Even so, international break now, feeling good, Bernard finally established in the team, time for Coleman, Mina and Gomes to come into the team before Palace at home. Win that and it's 3 on the spin, something we haven't done for quite a while, then perhaps we can start thinking a bit bigger!

Agee 100% our back line looked exposed a few times and we were lucky Vardy was out of sorts. Without the sending off it’s a draw or a Leicester win in my opinion.
Still plenty of positives like.

Bar today, i think Arsenal have been extremely lucky in their wins. I actually dont think we are far off utd or arsenal. We might not get into top 6 but to say their is enormous gap between us and top 6 is wide of the mark.

Vardy missed a good chance but we also missed a few chances. I wouldn't say it was a given that Leicester would not have lost with 11 men. When Morgan was sent off they were slightly the better team at that moment but with the play being open we still would have had chances. It made it difficult when they went down to 10 men as they closed shop on us and we needed the beaut from Siggy. Besides the result our football is better and enabling us to create so much more chances. Even the defeat against Arsenal didn't hurt me so much because the football we produced was that positive that the light at the end of the tunnel was so much brighter and nearer. You just have to compare us to last season (display wise) and see we are heading in the right direction. I think that is the reason most of us are buzzing and hoping we can carry on building on it. A win is a win but a win with more style is the icing on the cake. We deserved that win at Leicester and I would say most Leicester fans would agree. Still a fair way to go yet but we are progressing as a football team.

The Win V Leicester was critical. I still don't think we're anywhere near our best but if we can do Palace next then all of a sudden we are back to where we should be!

Just saying that Gylfi is 10 times the player than that Maddison, who everyone currently is bigging up.
Tbh I thought Maddison was looking good in their previous games, but he got totally bossed in this one, ended up getting dragged off too. Thought Davies had a lot to do with him having a quiet game, but Iceland professionally embarrassed him for the winner.
