Completely agree joey. Davies was good today. Strong and physical in the tackle. Made a Barryesque decision to prevent vardy breaking. Gets the ball with his head up and looks to play it forward. Yes makes a few sloppy passes, but so did bernard, Richie and Walcott. He has been improving every week and seems to be growing in confidence. And we look very balanced with him and Gueye compared to schneiderlin playing.

Every time I see it, I still expect it to miss.

The finish was superb, but the turn, with the Leicester player ending up 10 yards away was what made it for me. Just one of those moments we love.

..if I could compare Gomes to any former Everton player, it would be Martin Dobson. He looks tall, elegant and classy to me but i’m not certain who he’d come in for.
