Good to see mate, but in fairness we have been creating chances, averaging 14 attempts on goal per premier league match this season. We just haven't been putting them away.
Yeah, but there was a big difference today.
The quality of possession in Leicester's third was much better.
Means the team has time to form a better shape, means dictating the play and therefore the opposition reacting more and focusing more on their defence... and in greater numbers
This translates into us not getting caught out as often in midfield - which is where we were losing matches.
If you look at Davies, in previous matches he was looking more to get into the attacking play
In this match, he didn't need to as much.
This allowed him to concentrate more on the transition when we lost the ball.
If you look at Zouma to Sig for the goal; the space Sig receives the pass in was much less likely than in previous matches.
And it would have been more likely that one of the unholy trinity would have received it, not Sig.
The counter attacking play from Leicester and the threat from Vardy was pure Leicester.
They can do that to any side in the world.
But the stuff we've previously been letting sides get away with wasn't there nearly as much.
In other words, the 14 attempts on average we had previously also equated to a greater risk of conceding.
