Even with Silva's stuttering start, there are signs to be optimistic about. Remember this time last year?

May have just about deserved that. They didn't really trouble us except lumping it into the wind.

Bernard brilliant in this first half, richarlison a bit quieter today but with a goal and was phenomenonal at what he did. Some beautiful attacking footie at times and Zouma was a rock. Silva created that for the brave team, need more of that to win more away.

Looking at the stats we did deserve the win didn't we? Haha

Somehow I think Richie seemed to be quieter,although great at what he did, because he was playing in the middle. Simple solution...play Bernard and Richie on the wings, and Theo down the middle. They can always interchange during the game.

It was a reference/joke to the fact that we always have to play second fiddle to the RS in the media. As someone said earlier if Salah (or even Studgo) had scored Siggy's goal there would be a handjobfest on Sky all weekend.

Every time I see it, I still expect it to miss.

The finish was superb, but the turn, with the Leicester player ending up 10 yards away was what made it for me. Just one of those moments we love.

So, I do not know much about this Gomes fella. IF he ever dons a shirt and plays, what position/role does he have.? Play him instead of Davies? If he's half as good as Bernard, that will do me, get Coleman back at RB and slot Mina if for Keane. Thinks looking a little more positive.

..if I could compare Gomes to any former Everton player, it would be Martin Dobson. He looks tall, elegant and classy to me but i’m not certain who he’d come in for.
