Pickford - 5; didn’t have nothing to do
JJK - 4 - god god that was a bad first half, stupid decisions. Improved slightly in the second half
Keane - 6 - not to bad, got done for pace on the odd occasion. Quite solid
Zouma - 6 - same as above
Digne 8 - brilliant display, the lad is a player. If he loses he regroups quick. Better defender than I thought he would
Davies - 6 - unbelievable that he wasn’t the worst of the midfielders today
Gueye - 4 - bullied off the ball, poor distribution. Had a woeful game
Bernard - 8 - magician, brilliant footballer and 2 steps ahead. Tiredness caught up with him but still fantastic performance
Walcott - 7 - solid display, however his poor touch let him down on a couple of occasions when we broke
Siggurdsson - 9.5 - that goal.... wow. But his overall play was very good, neat linkup play and made his contribution count today
Richarlison - 9 - great performance, ran and ran and ran; held the ball up, committed people then skinned them. Top player

Tosun - 3 - gone massively off the ball, his head is not in it. Even for the short time he was on something doesn’t look right
DCL - 1 - Crap

Observations:

1. A very welcome first away win of the season and a first away win in the Premier League for our gaffer Marco Silva. Monkey off the back to say the least.

2. Up to the first goal, we played some fantastic football, then Leicester grew into the game before equalising;

3. Kenny could’ve done better for it and went to ground too easily for me and questions over Pickford too. Even before that though, some suspect closing from Bernard when he probably should’ve dropped off. Things to analyse and improve.

4. Our response was again very good; created plenty of chances and Richarlison’s skill and trickery was the key turning point, rather than the actual red card (don’t let the MOTD talking heads tell you otherwise!) His running all day caused Morgan nightmares and he was probably relieved to see that red come out of the ref’s pocket!

5. Gylfi Sigurdsson. What a turn, what a hit, what a goal. Five goals and one assist already this season.

6. Please sort out the corners; we racked up nine or ten again today but to no avail!

7. Zouma & Keane are looking like an excellent partnership, even against the pace of Vardy today. They marshalled him well.

8. The fans. Outstanding today, sang their hearts out and it was pleasing to see some individual chants as it really seemed to lift those particular players (“Gylfi Sigurdsson, Sigurdsson, Gylfi Sigurdsson”)

Over the moon with the win! COYB!

Pickford - maybe could have done more on the goal, but that's mostly on Kenny. Nothing to do aside from that.

Kenny - woeful from start to finish.

Keane - thankfully an offside stopped him from humiliating himself with a failed lunge on Vardy who skipped past him. Aside from that looked fine and never really looked like any of those awful mistakes he kept making last season. Improving.

Zouma - strong and a decent passer y plus he has a bit of pace about him. Should have scored with that free header from our corner late on. I think I'd like him and not Keane to partner Mina when he comes in.

Digne - brilliant player and does most things right on the field. No drama, just solid at the back and impressive going forward.

Gueye - sometimes he looks great, sometimes awful. Today he was in between. Better in the second half. He's always a hustler and did his job well enough today.

Davies - just a pretty poor player to have to use in that position really as he doesn't offer anything other than simple passes backwards. No creativity, no drive, no real aggression, no physical presence at the centre of the park.

Walcott - I like him a lot but he didn't do enough for me today, summed up by his terrible first time pass directly to their defender when we were two on one attacking them best in second half.

Sigurdsson - like him in both the ten role and also when he took over from Davies. I knew he'd excel with quality players around him and he looks a player reborn which is great to see. Brilliant goal deserving of winning any game.

Bernard - magical little player who could very well go on to become one of our best players of the last 30 years if his start is anything to go by. Hope he can maintain this, which he should do as time goes be and his English improves and he learns more about his teammates' style of play.

Richarlison - had hoped to see him up front and was very happy he performed well and got the goal he deserved. Did a lot of dirty work dropping deep, holding the ball up, pushing their defence back. He had a great game imo.

Fantastic result, 1-2, Sigurdsson’s goal was top drawer, now got 12 points from 8 games, 28 more required for safety from the remaining 30 games, 9 wins and 2 draws should do it. COYB’s!

..I honestly think Bernard could be player of the season. To come through the ranks in Brazil when you’re 5ft 5in shows you must be not only extremely good but extremely tough. It’s great research from Brands to acquire him @davek.

Saying that, i’m still shaking my head at the Sigurdsson goal. It was ridiculously good. Sigurdsson, oh Sigurdsson. That was very, very special. Sigurdsson MoM.

It was such an encouraging display, I have to be honest and thought we’d get beat. If there is a criticism it is that it took something very special to win it, i’m not sure we’d have scored otherwise.

All I ask is to enjoy watching Everton. Simple. I enjoyed that.

If Walcott had played that simple ball to him on break near end, he'd be celebrating an easy slot.
