Leave Bill Alone...

I'm chipping in here (hehe)....

Whether or not Kenwright is doing well for the club, we are in a position now that is promising in terms of where the club can go.

Kenwright know's he cant take the club for the big push, but what he's done (and the people around him have done) is made us stable, able to compete in the league, put us in a position where we can sold to the right person Kenwright deems responsible.

Whether or not the ground move is helping this, who knows. But if it is and does, does that make the ground move more worth while or still a sticking point with fans? If it does come off and someone swoops in with big bucks, his business gamble paid off. If not, its back to square one. You've gotta take chances and risks in business, some of them might not pan out which has happened to Kenwright plenty of times. But he's also taken chances and its paid off (employing and backing Moyes for eg on the back of Walker's advice).

I also believe we have money to spend. But there's something we dont know behind the scenes that stopping things happening. Nobody knows what or why its just stopping us. I believe we'll get players by the start of the season, and we'll have 5 new face by the close of the window.

If not...then its time to worry. Untill then, there's 11 days to go.

Sorry mate, didn't realise I was being hostile?

I have just heard information that leads me to believe the chairman is not at fault for the lack of transfer activity.

I think he was saying that you both had different views and discussed them like adults, it was praise. :D He wasnt saying your hostile.

Some good points from you both.

BK has said he cant compete, hes basically said he is NOW out of his depth, he doesnt have the cash to take us to the next level and he wants to sell, not for him, for US. He wants to sell to somebody that will take us to the next level, not bleed us dry and leave us an empty shell.

Im not saying hes done a good job, but hes tried his best and i will always admire him for what hes done.

Sorry Nick you misunderstood,I was actually pointing out that we managed to air our differences with out resorting to the hostility some other members feel necessary

im not going to get into the kenwright debate.
i have my opinions and time will tell me wether im right or wrong.

i will say this though , this season is probably the most important in kenwrights and evertons history.

i would go as far as to say that this month is the most important.
by the end of august kenwright will either be god in everton fans eyes or will be hounded out the club.

its either going to be very very pleasant or very very nasty for him.

ps. when does the egm take place and has anyone got a concrete eta on the kirkby decision.

just to shed a little light on who is responsable for transfer targets..

this is old but is very relevant.

this points me in the direction that everything progressing at this club is originally down to moyes say so. kenwright is just a yes/no man with little or no initiative himself.

it also says to me that moyes targets have been known by the board since the end of last season and its been 100 % down to them to get them in.

they have had atleast 85 days since the last day of the season to work towards getting the players he wants .

the chairman and board have failed there manager , not the other way around.

Everton Football Club.

On the precipice of greatness or oblivion? Are we gonna do a ManU/Arsenal or are we gonna do a Nottingham Forest/Leeds?

Sounds like a good poll question to me.

Everybody relax and like I said before, if you're worrying about this, stop reading the message boards and forums and do something else. Here are a few ideas:

1) Go to an art class.

2) Take a bicycle ride (all except Bruce )

3) Re-engage your family as I'm sure you haven't spoken with them in ages.

4) Take the wife/girlfriend out for a nice night (DO NOT bring the subject of Everton up at all during the evening.)

5) Learn a new language (I'd suggest Portuguese but that wouldn't be prudent at this juncture. :P)

6) Clean up the house a bit.

Is'nt that what a managers job is all about?? You would not want a chairman who dictated what players where bought and sold, what a chairman is expected to do however is give the manager the sufficient funds to enable him to strike deals and big bill is not doing that at a time when it really matters.

I have to disagree with the idea of part of your statement. I think that the chairman/manager relationship has both ways duties.

If it is true that the chairman has to provide resources, it is also true that the manager has to use them wisely with a knack for shrewd business. What I mean is, the manager has to handle the money looking forward to negotiate profitable deals. He shouldn't look at it as if it was a bottomless glass with the chairman pouring water all the time.

Thats what i an most evertonians think. This will be the reason why moyes's contract still sit's unsigned.

If somthing doesn't happen soon, their will be trouble.

Mark my words.
Problem is what can be done soon ,even if a buyer came in today with all the due diligence stuff the season would be under way and the window closed I am worried about it but other than Bill finding yet another mate to help him out I think we have to face up to a difficult start to the season:(

Heres a thought, maybe, just maybe theres no consipirocy theory and both Moyes and Kenwright are working there nads of to get the RIGHT deals in!

Can someone put the whole forum on Suicide and Whinge watch please! Have Faith!(y)
