Barely anyone watches this so they normally load the draw to ensure Liverpool United City and Chelsea would make the semi if it goes to form. If a few non top 6 sides make the semis they split the draw with the top 6 sides kept apart with the second leg at home.

May as well go all out on it. No chance of getting anywhere near top 6, and it shouldn’t be too much of a battle to get 7th place.

Only 5 PL teams in the north draw, including Everton. That means a mere 8% chance of being drawn away to another PL side (4/25 x 1/2) which of course is what will happen.

I’ll take a home draw against prem opposition, would like to see us build some momentum going starting Saturday, easing new players in.

For any team not competing in Europe I don’t think there’s any excuse to Make lots of changes. 23 years is too long for a club of our stature to go without a trophy and perhaps if Silva can do it then it would set a good platform.

There’s always needing a bit of a luck element like trying to avoid the sky 6 until the semi finals/final.
