Last Film You Watched

Gangs of Wasseypur.

Indian movie with English subtitles, about the rivalry between 3 different crime family's from the 1940's till 2000, its in two parts as its 5 hours long watched the first bit last night , really good , brutal and not what you expect definitely not Bollywood, plenty of action and decent character plots to follow.
On a side, note it subtitles the songs getting played, without them they sound like the background music you hear in Bollywood film, but the lyrics are filthy , got that way I was waiting for the next one to see what depths they would sink to.
I enjoyed it, long but fast paced.

In the Valley of Elah - Crime mystery drama about a soldier that went missing on his return from Iraq starring Tommy Lee Jones and Charlize Theron. Was a good watch but it didn't grip me like I was expecting it to. 7/10

germania anno zero.webp

A film of Roberto Rossellini, a young german boy faces the problems of the tough life in the immediate post WWII Berlin...
Briefly war of survival. (Impressive)

2017 The Mummy.

I wish I could post a negative score for this.

1/10 and that's being generous. Not in a critical way, just bad as in really bad and awful viewing

Tbh I didn't mind it. Is it great film? Hell no. It's not even as good as the 1999 version. But at no point was I clock watching, hopefully the rest of the films in the series are better though.

I must admit I thought it was okay too.

It's just that they'd taken all the tongue in cheek, slapstick out of it and turned it into an all out action film.

Dunkirk (2017)

Holy moly.

It's amazing. Subtle while being brutal.

The use of no dialogue in certain parts is brilliant.

And for those worried about Harry Styles, don't. He doesn't play a member of a boyband.

Seriously close to a 5 Championship Belts out of 5.
