Last Film You Watched

Moonlight really is a wonderful film. Deserves all the awards.

Oh, and Naomie Harris - where did that performance come from? Only ever seen her in that Bond film where she was the most awful, wooden actress ever to grace the screen, and now this. Utterly superb.

Midnight Special

Wow, loved it. It's like Close Encounters, ET, It Follows, that Fargo motel episode and Melancholia rolled into one.

Enjoyed this.

Watched about 20 mins of Ex Machina last night then fell asleep (I wasn't feeling well). Should I go back and finish it? It was a bit meh up to that point.

The Conjuring 2 (2016) - Horror/Thriller

'In 1977, paranormal investigators Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren come out of a self-imposed sabbatical to travel to Enfield, a borough in north London. There, they meet Peggy Hodgson, an overwhelmed single mother of four who tells the couple that something evil is in her home. Ed and Lorraine believe her story when the youngest daughter starts to show signs of demonic possession. As the Warrens try to help the besieged girl, they become the next targets of the malicious spirit.'

It was ok, some jumpy moments but, not as good as the first film.

Watched Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them last night. I should probably put this in the 'you know you're getting old when...' thread, but whilst it was visually stunning, the story was utter tripe. Non-existent tripe.

Watched this the other night on the Horror Channel. It's actually not bad for a low budget.

A group of young people sailing a yacht, anchor up in the middle of the ocean and go swimming, without realising that they haven't lowered the ladder and can't get back on the yacht.

Tension builds up nicely as they get more and more desperate and turn on each other.
