Wow, loved it. It's like Close Encounters, ET, It Follows, that Fargo motel episode and Melancholia rolled into one.

The Witch - set in puritanical 17th century New England, categorised as horror but more of a horror/psychological thriller. Well acted and interesting for those who like subtle deference to (and subverting of) the genre's conventions. And a bit of nudity in it for those who like bits of nudity.

...depends on whose nude bits I'm looking at

'Faults' was pretty good - managed to appeal to my dark sense of humour whilst maintaining a creepiness (and with a naughty little twist at the end....) great performances too. The director said he was a fan of 'Dogtooth' and that was pretty evident in its absurdity. 10/10 WUD RECOMEND

Saw Dogtooth last night. Really enjoyed it, though not for everyone. Again, if you like nude bits it might make a difference.

Flight. Dependable Denzel does the job, too long though, John Goodman plays John Goodman and its a by-the-numbers plot. Kelly Reilly is little more than a prop. Catalina from My Name is Earl gets nekkid... very nekkid.

Perfectly captures the book.

Mark Rylance nails it and the little girl isn't too annoying.
