Thought Logan was really good, clever and pretty violent, much like Wolverine was in the comics.
Also watched LaLaLand the other week, was surprised how much I enjoyed it- Emma Stone definitely helps...

Watched 'Life' last night.

Fairly enjoyable.. kind of like a big budget episode of The Twilight Zone, or one of those Sci Fi series with a different Sci Fi / Horror story every week with a twist at the end you half expect. Could have done more with the creature though. Good date night fare.

Looks a bit of a Alien rip off. Still wouldn't mind seeing it.

Without the grit. In structure yes, but it comes across more like Gravity with a horror vibe.

Watched 2 films this week that couldn't be any more different.

XXX:Vin Diesel Trying To Prove He's Not Too Old For This Stuff. I say I watched 2 films but I only got through about 45 minutes of this before I turned it off. How can a film with Donny Yen and Tony Jaa in be so bad?

Nocturnal Animals. So it's a story inside a story with some flashbacks as well. Every story is brilliantly written, acted, shot, directed. And the story inside the story is actually about the story because of the flashbacks.

Nocturnal Animals. Dark, a bit gut wrenching, disturbed my sleep afterwards but very good and worth a watch.

Also Passengers. A nice easy watch, decent story line. Jennifer Lawrence looks fantastic in it and acts well and Chris Pratt is a solid likeable actor. Lawrence Fishburne makes a good cameo too. Enjoyable film and not to heavy.

I didn't even know there had been a second one out mate till my lad mentioned it to me. Not so good then, I was looking forward to watching it as well.

Having not read any reviews for the film, the first couple of minutes made wonder what on earth I was in for, then it got going and it continually flicked my switches and kept thinking, even afterwards, enjoy!
