Really? I thiught it was awful but each to their ownThe new Ghostbusters. Surprisingly really enjoyed it.
Law Abiding Citizen (2009) - Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx -
Critics didn't rate it but I watched it for it was...cat and mouse game of revenge, with guns and bombs etc.
It was ok.
Some good films today on Film 4 and The Horror Channel -

Boy befriends girl from next door. Girl has a macabre secret.
Currently watching The Exorcist. It's so dumb.
The original.Original or remake ?
The original.
Melissa McCarthy makes me laugh.Really? I thiught it was awful but each to their own
It's just not scary at all. What, it's a horror classic.
Bear in mind how old it is.
Young ladies simply did not do things like that with a crucifix in those days !.
It's just not scary at all.
But the Omen is genuinely scary. It still works. The Exorcism is just utterly stupid. I can't take it remotely serious when you've got a girl firing green slime everywhere. Not by today's CGI standards, but when it was made it was very scary.
Same with - The Omen and Rosemary's Baby.
Laughable today, but at the time ............
If you rate - Let The Right One In, read the book. It's way better than the either of the films ( the original is superb ).
Captures the loneliness and isolation of the little boy in a way that the film can't and it's beautifully written, really captures the tragedy of the relationship between them. The book is one of my all time favs mate.
First film I ever bought on DVD. I stupidly watched the extras first and the making of. Even the cast and crew were laughing how daft it was...and yes, they really did use pea soup. It's just not scary at all.
