Last Film You Watched

True Romance - Not sure how I've not seen it before but I thought it was great. The scene with Walken and Hopper in the trailer was brilliant. Probably in my top 10 films.

its a fantastic film...Christian Slater was 'ace' back then and the rest of the cast really make it great.

watched it again about a month ago

Watched My Last Family (or Ostatnia Rodzina to give it its Polish title) at the weekend. It's a Polish movie about the artist Zdzisław Beksiński. Interesting, but incredibly dark. Long story short, the guy lives in a flat with his family, including elderly parents and depressed son, and aside from his painting he was fond of photographing and videoing daily life, including the moment his wife dies of an anueurism and is dead on his kitchen floor. The movie is interspersed with real footage, including of the aforementioned wife.

On the one hand it's quite a poignant look at life (and death), but it is certainly a heavy movie.

I wish I'd watched this movie instead of the last Everton game

Literally the last seen is him being stabbed to death by his carer. Looking at his art it's perhaps understandable

He wrote the script / screenplay i believe and was going to be a sequel to reservoir dogs or pulp fiction...i cant remember but it will be on imdb or somewhere.

Think he sold it before he made his first movie for $5k or something!

Not feeling great today or id post the info.
Apparently he wasn't a massive fan of how the movie turned out

"The Keeper of Lost Causes", Danish, with Nikolaj Lie Kaas. Fares Fares is the main supporting actor, he was recently seen in Tyrant on Fox, which I also liked a lot.

Quite typical of Nordic Noir and home drama in the characterisation (Misfit Loner as Detective) but a more grim and squirmish plot which I actually found difficult to watch at times.

Worth it to pass 90 minutes, and if you like Nordic Film, you will come across plenty of familiar faces.

7/10/
