I had decided I wouldn't bother with Bugonia after Kinds of Kindness just left me completely cold. Also can't seem to get into The Lobster as I've started and stopped a couple of times. But Poor Things I thought was fantastic. I probably will get to Bugonia at some point

All of his films are just weird for the sake of being weird now. Far too artsy.

I enjoyed Lobster, mainly because at the time it was a bit different to the other films coming out, poor things i agree was very good, Bugonia is worth it

Kinds of kindness felt like that. Which is fine. I didn't think it was a bad movie. Just wasn't for me. Poor Things is lots of artiness and weirdness but is pulled along at speed by great performances and plenty of humour. Think he hit a high note there

Bugonia is a much easier watch that Kinds of Kindness

Saipan. It's a dramatic retelling of the 2002 Eire WC training camp bust up that led to Roy Keane leaving before a ball was kicked.

Takes the approach of The Damned United in dramatising the events and its not bad, entertaining enough.

Eanna Hardwicke does a decent turn as the Roy Keane publuc persona but Steve Coogan just doesn't carry off Mick McCarthy. Physically he's lacking. You always get the impression the real life head to head could have been violent but Coogan just comes off as weedy.

That being said, can't really think of an alternative who may have been able to do the role justice.

Not bad but don't go out if your way to see it.

Had a bit of downtime tonight, should have taken the opportunity to watch one of the Oscar nominations.

Chose Best of the Best instead.

Return to Silent Hill. Enjoyable enough for the most part, and nowhere near as bad as most are suggesting.

Just been to watch a new film. Melania it’s called. Weird to be the only person in the cinema, especially as there were no cinemas anywhere near me showing it. Wonderfully uplifting film, shows a real down on her luck person who has fought for everything. An instant classic.

Watched all three Bad Boys in the past week. First one in particular is so so good. One of my fave films of all time.

Currently watching American Psycho as another oldie that I’ve not seen before.

Three watched so far this week
1- man finds tape, kind of found footage, fella should have taped Strictly come dancing over it, would have been more entertaining
2- Primate, chimp gets rabies, some lid dressed in a monkey suit from Temu legs a bunch of screaming teens, totally bananas
3- We bury the dead, most disappointing out of the three, the trailers and talk about this was making it out to be a new take on the zombie genre,in parts it was interesting but didn't really add anything new to walking dead movies
