Last Film You Watched

Are a lot of the trailers in recent years made at a single dedicated studio?

I ask because they follow the exact same formula, especially audio wise, constant drums and booming bass drops, with generic music thrown in or terrible replicas of an original.

Out of curiosity I watched the Masters of the Universe trailer and it was pretty bland , it was more or less the exact same template you get for Marvel and DC trailers, nothing distinctive or stands out.

I watched "The Rip" on netflix. This screenplay/plot had a lot of potential and overall the film was decent. The concept was great. But the screenplay could have been a lot more subtle. The concept had all the potential of a Glengarry Glen Ross type of film (in parts) which could have erred more towards a cerebral who-done-it set up by good dialogue rather than a shoot-em-up cops/robbers gun flick (though the plot require some good shooting/action scenes, which were well done). The major issue for me was that the film could have ended about 15 minutes earlier with a quick wrap-up, and not the "exciting" explosive bang-bang vengance-meted-out Hollywood ending. But Affleck and Damon are great in it. I enjoyed it for overall.

Watched Bull (2nd time) a couple of days ago, so searched it on here to see if anyone had seen it, some had which led me to Kill List, which I’ve watched this evening. Thought Bull was excellent, although I’d hoped that Bull knew he was about to be killed and had someone ready to take his place in caravan as the the supernatural ending was no good for me. Kill List, for what it is was alright, but the ending made no sense, a PTS suffering guy accepting he’d just killed his own son to join a weird cult.
Watch KL again and consider he was set up for the final scene from the first. Perhaps that was the reason for the cult, and him being edged towards the deed slowly throughout. Sicko's.
