I saw 'prince of persia' and a bit of james bond in dune last night, TGM kept the story ticking over with a half arsed love interest tacked on and the jeopardy of him getting canned once Kilmer was buried. Also the jeopardy of knowing how he'd lead the mission he'd been ruled out of.

dune had secret assassins we'd not been prep'd for, Skarsgard rolling out of the primordial ooze for very little reason, prophecy/dreams, a visit to the oracle, giant octopus worm terminators (Sarlacc?), X-wings, these guys...

and the galactic senate serving the emperor...

So it turns out Neo/Skywalker (Chalamet) is the saviour. Who knew, and can even take down the top brass evil knievel in the desert rocks.

And the worst of it? Hipsters talking it up like it's some original vision delivered by genius. Could stitch the majority of it together using other films scenes and keep the same narrative. The same slow plodding narrative. Ah yeah, the ancient light sabre/Rancor fang.

How many do they have to make to wrap it up?

You need to watch Lynch's Dune

Only the original visionary George Lucas could completely come up with such originality all from his unrivalled imagination. It's about time he got the plaudits he deserved.

Pretty hard faced of Frank Herbert trying to pass his 1965 novel off as not borrowing shamelessly from Star Wars.

You need to watch Lynch's Dune
The late, GREAT David Lynch.

It needs to be coupled with a viewing of 'Eraserhead' and 'Mulholland Drive' beforehand, so that you get right into the twisted mindset of Lynch.

Was this the film where Bale had that meltdown on the set and exploded at that poor crew member?

You know, where you hear him losing his sh.t: 'OH, GOOD FOR YOU!'

As far as Batman goes, they really need to do a DC/Marvel crossover film:
Punisher vs Batman.webp
I have the Punisher absolutely destroying that little wuss, Batman!

His meltdown was on Terminator Salvation. To be fair I’d be pretty angry if I’d been involved in that steaming pile

Oh of course, Lynch was the best living living US director for me, which was an easy one but now he has he has died I have him and John Cassavetes as joints

Watched Terrifier (2016) and would just like to say "WTF!". That is all.

There are another 2 sequels after the original, and trust me, they get even more gory as they go along, mate...

And apparently they're in the midst of making a 4th one, which according to them, is supposed to make it's 3 predecessors look like children's play by comparison.

So, 'WTF!' indeed!
