The Redwood Massacre (2014)

I commend the filmmakers for the effort as the gore and the visuals were decent. However, the acting was bottom tier, the characters were even thicker than most other slasher teen characters, and the fact the movie had zero tension and zero nudity didn't help. There was literally no reason whatsoever for me to want any of the kids to survive, as most of them were just insufferable whiners (even before the slashing started).

Oh, and the girl named 'Jessica' had worst painted-on eyebrows I've ever seen in a movie. Wow. It took me out of the movie even more than the ridiculously wooden acting.

2/10

Still watching the sequel though, as Danielle Harris is in it.

Watched the penultimate Rambo film yesterday (the one in Burma), I’d forgotten the level of gore in that...... also tried to watch the new Netflix movie Hotel Artemis but gave up in the end, assumed it was tied into the John Wick series somehow but doesn’t seem to be. Will give it another go today as the reviews seem fairly positive.

Just seen this disaster movie set in Liverpool. Really difficult to watch. There's this villain in it with a cabbage for a head who shouts orders at this bald headed monster from the Goonies and he just scythes people down and drags them across the field. I would avoid this one as it is so

Was the monster called Shelvy ? As he was dragging Rodriguez round a field yesterday.
