Watched it as pet of my ‘great films I’ve not seen’ project. An epic.Great story and a cast of thousands. Had to watch it in 3 sittings though due to its length. Didn’t manage to spot the wrist watch either on one of the charioteers. 9/10

Netflix Crimbo block buster - Midnight Sky.

Worthy of the cinema, beautiful cinematography, great cast, well acted, but really won’t be for everyone, as it’s achingly slow in parts.

The earth is dying, virtually the whole population has left for other worlds and George Clooney plays a terminally ill scientist, who remains behind to warn a returning space ship that everyone else has left.

Strictly for fans of “ thinking sci - fi “

One of my all time favourite films.

Sam Rockwell was born to play that part.

It's brilliant and absolutely he's so underrated , makes an impression in every film appearance, even in the rare dud like the babysitter. Its crazy I just discovered one of his first roles was as the head thug in the original ninja turtles movie.

I don’t really like sci-fi at all but Moon was brilliant I thought. And I fell in love with The Martian.

He`s great in Three Billboards too.

'infinity chamber' more interesting than I thought it was going to be, a lot more art house than dumb Sci fi flick, which is what I was expecting, the metaphor is a bit heavy handed tho and slow in parts, but not bad

Back to the Future-a-thon with mini-Mcb.

Just realised that in Biffs alternate 1985, Biffs Tower is actually built over the Hill Valley Courthouse, and that if Biff went back to 1955 and changed the future - the future in which Marty and Doc (2015) would instantly change around them, and as Doc was in an institution, and Marty in boarding school - he would never have invented the time machine or even have met.

Nevermind the fact that Biff returns to a seemingly unaltered future.

Today is musicals day. We've done Frozen, and are now halfway through Les Miserables (2013 version, with Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe).

I love them both. Les Mis in particular is utterly glorious - Sacha Baron Cohen's performance as Thenardier is brilliant.
