Continuing with my B movie Fest -
Doomsday.

Watches like a full length BBC drama, rather than a film.

Cross between Mad Max and 28 Days.

Bearing in mind it was made in 2008, the premise of the film is scarily true at the moment.

A killer virus infects Glasgow, eventually overrunning Scotland, leading to it being walled off and the population being left to die.

A few decades the virus re surfaces in that London and a team is sent back into Scotland to look for an antidote.

A cracking all British cast, led by the very lovely and honed Rhona Mitra.

Entertaining if you don’t take it seriously.

It’s got a cracking cast - Bob Hoskins, Sean Pertwee, Malcolm Mc Dowell and loads of British actors who went onto be big stars.

It’s full on low budget, but entertaining non the less.

If you’d seen it you’d remember it, as big parts of it was like Mad Max, but in the Highlands lol

Yes I remember it now,she gets sent to recover something,rather than Mad Max,its more juiced up Rab and Jamesy,they have like a replica Glasgow bar to fight in

Michael Caine as pensioner who has enough of young gobshights on his estate...Not an Eastwood clone
Passed an hour or so quite well.

Remember enjoying that years ago.

I'll give it another watch.

I've just watched the new Borat film. I've never seen the original one and after wasting over an hour of my life on this one I don't think I ever will.
It's a very brave and somewhat clever film but I didn't find it funny at all.

Bone Tomahawk - a western horror film which ticks all the boxes for me. Seen it before but had to give it another watch, absolutely love Kurt Russell and the pacing of this film. One of the better horror films from the past decade.

I think it's quite dated now, I'm confused why he even thought there was a need for a second one.

Watched this a couple of years ago... the most brutal scene I've ever seen in a movie comes to mind... good film!
