The Possession of Hannah Grace.
( Netflix )
Not bad, but not good, sitting somewhere in the middle.

A traumatised young ex cop, takes a job on the night shift of a morgue, not knowing that the body of a possessed young woman is amongst the corpses in storage.

Bad stuff starts to happen.

It’s not a bad film, it’s just that it’s quite a good slant on the well worn possession genre, but doesn’t quite manage to achieve what it sets out to do.

If it's not good it's bad in my books.

Polish cinematography finally reaches the 1970s in this film, imagine a really, really gash Friday 13th,well its worse than that,a group of teens camping in the forest are attacked by a fella wearing a mask from the wizards den,its badly funny I'd say avoid but you need to see how awful it is

Continuing with my B movie Fest -
Doomsday.

Watches like a full length BBC drama, rather than a film.

Cross between Mad Max and 28 Days.

Bearing in mind it was made in 2008, the premise of the film is scarily true at the moment.

A killer virus infects Glasgow, eventually overrunning Scotland, leading to it being walled off and the population being left to die.

A few decades the virus re surfaces in that London and a team is sent back into Scotland to look for an antidote.

A cracking all British cast, led by the very lovely and honed Rhona Mitra.

Entertaining if you don’t take it seriously.

Can't remember much of this but remember enjoying it so I might have to have another watch. The director, Neil Marshall, also made Dog Soldiers which has a similar B-movie vibe and is an entertaining way to pass an hour or two.

Just been too see Honest Thief, new Liam Neeson film, action, car chase guns type thing, for that type of film was ok, dodgy cops ... etc it's not too long, decent action film for fans of the genre

Calm With Horses. ( Film4 but on Netflix )

Very good if you like gritty, raw British dramas.

Set in rural Ireland, an ex boxer, turned enforcer for a Pikey drug gang, juggles his life of violence and trying to do the right thing by his ex and young autistic son.

Some really good performances, particularly the relatively unknown Cosmo Jarvis in the lead. For all its brutality, it’s quite a tender film in parts, with a very powerful ending.

Watches like a Shane Meadows.

Looks like something I’ll very much enjoy.

He uses a lot of the cast from Dog Soldiers too.
Might have to check this out, love Dog Soldiers (which incidently has been on at Odeon recently).

Saw this recently too. Found Neeson's accent a bit off putting, like he was doing the 'I have a particular set of skills' thing constantly! Film was ok. Bit meh to start, then really picked up I thought in the middle, before one scene near the end didn't really make sense/work and kind of brought it down a bit.
