I’ve seen that many of these films, I could make a better one than this.

This was a bit of a box office bomb, lost in the post-Twilight teen spook landfill, which is a shame as its quite a charming yarn. Its well written, fun with a good cast across the board, a great southen US setting with a non-preachy subtext of smalltown mentalities and religious intolerance.

Comes off Prime today I think, well worth a look.

A woeful attempt at making a modern day spaghetti western in downtown Compton.

Truly dreadful.

Watched 2 films last night, The Exorcist at the cinema, amazing on a big screen, I read "Out of the Shadows" by Bob McCabe recently, it's a fascinating film.
Also watched Dracula AD 72, Hammer I hadn't seen before, set in 1972, Lee and Cushing together but worth it for Stephanie Beacham alone. Was ok but I do prefare hammer films set in older times.

Saw the Exorcist and the Omen as a double bill as a one off, late night special at the Cinema on Lime St, was it the Scala ?

Brilliant night, as they served ale and loads of the students had Halloween costumes on. Really good fun.

Getting massively into Star Trek has been my primary lockdown activity this year. Recently got onto the movies. Although a bit dated, this is genuinely a really good film. Great scenes with a great villain.

I neglected to say that magic mushrooms where involved too, which really did add to the madness of the evening.
