Netflix big budget Summer block buster - Project Power.

Big, flashy and brain dead.

A drug has been developed that gives users varied super powers for 5 mins - Power.

Jamie Foxx plays an ex soldier who is trying to rescue his daughter from who is being used as a lab rat from a shady government dept, that want to mass produce the drug for military purposes.

Remove brain and enjoy.

Dominique Fishback who plays support is surely a star in the making.
Been waiting for this to pop up,seen a couple of clips of it so will give it a look over the weekend

Gets off on the wrong foot by having the names mixed up above the actors - Hate that

Enjoyed this. Was worried they’d go OTT with the special fx but aside the massive guy thought they handled the powers well.

Just looking for documentaries on pistol shrimp now.

Dunkirk. Never seen it till recently because some family told me it was proper crap when it came out, but I think its really good.
I like that it focussed on the stories of a couple to represent the struggles of what several hundred thousand went through. It was a little confusing at the start having the characters at different points in time but it turns out really well I think.

The Hater - Polish with subs.

It’s a Studio Canal film that’s been bought by Netflix, so isn’t a Netflix film as such.

Really good film, but slow so won’t be for everyone.

A disturbed young man finds his vocation, when he lands a job at a shady PR company, that specialises in destroying celebs and public figures on Social Media.

Dark, quite disturbing and well acted, with the young Polish lad as the lead standing out.
Enjoyed this. Took me 3 nights to watch because I fell asleep watching it Monday, Thursday and finally finished tonight.. Can't remember anything about the first part of the film cos it was ,5 days ago but it's definitely worth a watch.

Excellent documentary called "Next Goal Wins". It follows the national team of American Samoa in the aftermath of them being beaten 31-0 by Australia. They were the lowest ranked side in the FIFA rankings and had lost every match they had ever played. Its really really good stuff.

One of the best sporting docs I’ve ever watched.

There’s a film in the works due out this year as well, but I don’t think it will do the story justice.

I liked it as well, the soundtrack is brilliant, not watched it for a while but I'm sure it plays through the entire film, it's a film Im glad I seen at the cinema

The Tax Collector

Although the critics panned it, it was the same writer/director as Training Day and Harsh times. Two quality movies so was quite looking forward to this.

Harsh times: Christian Bale/Freddie Rodriguez
Training Day: Ethan Hawke/Denzel Washington

Shia LaBeouf and Bobby Soto as the 2 leads here....Quite a stretch to call them professional actors after watching...

Bobby Soto cant act. LaBeouf is a skinny midget cast as a psychopath whose about as scary as The milkybar kid.

The story was incoherent and there was zero character development or real storyline. It just seemed to be a low budget Bmovie.

Get in the bin.
