Oh wow what a trip. A crazy horror/dream film. It's nuts and I have not really seen anything like it. It's like a very awkward David Lynch film.

I really enjoyed Edge Of Tomorrow. I seem to remember it getting a lukewarm reception but a quick check on RottenTomatos shows positive reactions pretty much all round.

Probably getting mixed up with Oblivion though I reckon that got a bit of an unfair kicking. Enjoyed that as well.

Girl With All The Gifts is a cracker as well and like you say is fairly unique as far as zombie films go.
Watched Oblivion today, one that I had completely forgot about untill about 30 mins in when it started to appear familiar. I can understand why some might not like it but I think its better than its ratings suggest. Decent sci-fi.

Next up for me is Fahrenheit 451.

Fahrenheit 451 is absolute garbage. Like Equilibrium but really bad and made for the crap Marvel audience.

Resolution is okay but not a fan of the ending.

Next up is Cloud Atlas.

Cloud Atlas is one of the worst films I have ever seen. When they started saying things like "tru-tru" people in the cinema either walked out or burst out laughing.

Greyhound - Tom Hanks WW2 navy thing, I was quite looking forward to this, but the structure felt a bit odd as it's essentially one long relentless battle scene. The lack of quieter moments or any insight into the enemy side detract from any sense of cat-and-mouse a little, but it did feel heavily cut. Also, it's obviously going to have a lot of CGI, but it felt a bit over-cooked at times - 7/10

The Old Guard - Engaging enough to watch through, but it drifted in and out of feeling like it was done on a high quality camcorder by some film students. A lot of the standard movie after-effects were missing, e.g focal length / FOV, etc, also towards the end there was a noticeable absence of other humans! (safe to assume it was a victim of being finished during Covid on both parts). Their new recruit had a few ropey scenes, but Theron's experience dragged up the quality a bit - 6/10

The Post - Just coz it was on the telly, intriguing watch and one where you jump on wiki afterwards to see which bits were true (all of it I think?) annoyingly I'd have been more interested in the possible sequel hint (?) right at the end. Solid cast, quality production, but 'The Big Short' still top of my list for this kind of movie - 8/10
