Last Film You Watched

Love Cloud Atlas. Very flawed but it aims for the stars. Hugh Grant, future horseback cannibal, nuff said. And dats the tru-tru.
Cloud Atlas is one of the worst films I have ever seen. When they started saying things like "tru-tru" people in the cinema either walked out or burst out laughing.
Yeah I didn't like it. All over the place and off-putting how often the same actors played multiple characters.

Watched Spectral on Netflix and it was a very average sc-fi/action flick. Lots of techno babble and cheap sci-fi ('reverse the polarity' kind of stuff).

Next up will be:
The Vast Of Night

Excellent Sci-Fi movie (on Netflix)

There's so many things wrong with it and the yellowface is bonkers but it never bored me and I think there is some parts that are done really well.

And when it's bad at least it crashes and burns in spectacular fashion.

I re-watched Je t'aime, je t'aime the other day. It's a time-travel film, but not the easiest one to get a grip of on a first watch. It's one of those films I enjoy more with each viewing, always noticing new details.

Not strictly a last film you watched post but Cineworld are opening back up at limited capacity this Friday. Lack of new releases means they're showing some old stuff to supplement.

I reckon I'll take up the chance to see Back To The Future, Empire Strikes Back and Batman Begins on the big screen.
Yo Claus how are you doing tonight.

Beastmaster - 1982 one with Marc Singer. For old times' sake.

Genuinely love this film. Singer is nicely buff without looking too steroided, Rip Torn's Maax is a great villain, and Tanya Roberts' clevage is just magnificent. Shame the Tiger died following complication with the skin dye.. oh well.

9/10.

I remember watching that not too long after it came out and the part where they sacrifice children still haunts me. So I've never watched it again. It's probably tame compared to what we see now but I don't think I'll ever go back to it.

Yeah, it definitely not for kids.

I had a similarly tramatic experience when I was a kid when my dad brought home "The Sword And The Scorceror" on VHS. It totally freaked me out.

Beats- A coming of age film about two best mates attending an illegal rave as one last great night.

Really, really great this. Poignant and hit all the right spots a film like that should. Not into the rave scene myself but I hear it really depicted that late 90s scene accurately.

Shed a bit of a tear at the end and found the ending credits topped off what was already a great piece of work.
